Still holds up as a great action flick... even the special effects which are pretty abysmal by today's standards. And tons and tons of quotable lines. And Paul Gleason to boot!

Great movie that I watch whenever it's on. However one of the things that sticks out the most is when they do a shot of the building from the street, and as they pan up there's a gas station with gas for 74.9 cents a gallon I think.

I spent two hours watching Steve McQueen in BULLITT with my sons. I told them it's supposed to have the best car chase ever.

My oldest kid was chiding me saying 'Mom drives worse than them'.

Doesn't really hold up whatsoever. Pretty interesting seeing people stopping to use pay phones, and asking the hostess at a restaurant to use a phone. WTF... God bless technology.

Die Hard is a classic and holds up as good as alot of 80's action flicks. I never throw the DVD in but everytime its on TV i can't help but watch

Old Man River = Abbreviated SHARK??

If this is their idea of Christmas, I *gotta* be here for New Year's.

I'm not 20 posts in and I'm already being accused of having multiple screen names. I'm honored. Or flattered. But no, I'm not SHARK.

Does it sound like I'm trying to order an f'n pizza????

That was a joke because nobody could ever be a mult of SHARK. It would just be impossible. :) But for another quote for fun... Well, what are we gonna do now? Arrest them for not paying their electric bill?

The last Die Hard flick wasn't as good as the first - but it's definitely the second best. If you haven't had a chance, check it out.

Lovie Smith (aka John Amos) was a pretty good traitor in Die Hard 2. The third one with Samuel L. Jackson was pure garbage.

The second one was terrible. I liked the third.

I like all of the first three... The first is definitely the best, then I will probably give an edge to number three over number two; this is probably because number three is on TV all the time, and you hardly ever see them replay number two. Number four doesn't count because it is PG-13 and is way too over the top (I guess they are all over the top, but, well.... )

I saw Live Free or Die Hard a few months ago and was impressed. Not as good as the first, but better than the middle two.

The John Amos-Lovie Smith comparison is great! Never even thought about it until your post. Jeremy Irons was a good villain in the third film. I'd probably pick the third over the second for the same reason that newper gave. Die Hard with a Vengeance is on a premium movie channel all the damn time.
