Cole is a lot different in the book. It seems he is the rival of Daemon so they are constantly plotting against each other. He turned Rhaenyra down in book so making him an incel was a choice the writers made. That was a bad choice...Rampage guy should of said no.

Didn’t he also turn down Rhaenyra in the show, but more so in an angry way because she wouldn’t run off to sell oranges or whatever it was he wanted?

Yeah, he was offended that she essentially wanted him to be her whore.

I can understand the inherent ethical quandaries with such an arrangement for a guy who casually murders people he disagrees with.

Cole may be the worst part of the show but I think it will play out well enough as he's a dopey and hatable enough villain who doesn't age for the inevitable time where Daemon chops off his head.

Dopey is a good word for him. He isn't menacing...half his face isn't burned off so he's just a guy. They did a good job with casting but I think they missed with this guy if that is direction they knew they were going to go.

Easily the best season I've seen in many years of any show. I don't think I enjoyed a show as much since the early seasons of Better Call Saul.

It was ok. I expected a bit more from the finale but it showed a lot as to what the future seasons will hinge on with the dragons. I’m glad it’s different than GOT. Not perfect but good

I never noticed how high pitched Daemon was until the finale. His shitposting Otto was less effective than it should’ve been - being called a Caller Bob by a guy who sounds like he’s sucking on helium doesn’t hit the same way.

I also don’t get the merit of dragons that can be eaten in one bite. How valuable are those things in an actual war? They’d probably kill a few guys sure, but they’d get knocked down pretty quickly.

The actor who plays Aemond is awful. He looks ok, so maybe just cut any future dialogue and it’ll be fine.

The best part of the show was One-Eye and Vhagar taking down his pussy nephew and his itty bitty dragon. How you like my pig now, son?

It was better than I expected. It got off to a rough start in some ways but got better. One of the showrunners left so we'll have to see how that affects things going forward. The dragon bursting thru the floor and the incel knight are reasons for concern. That's the kind of garbage that was in Season 6-8. The Rampage guy says Season 2 will have more "levity" whatever that means. He also said Season 2 will have the "rhythm" of the middle seasons of GOT. Hopefully he is talking Seasons 1-4. Season 5 forward was dogshit.

The dragons keep growing and that was the oldest dragon still around against one of the youngest. They do have a size issue with their CGI though as we saw last week when shrinky dink was able to fly thru the doors that were closing. People are complaining about why they did that as they made it look like it was sort of an accident where in book One Eye is a stone cold killer. It looks like they are going to make him a sympathetic character or at least make him morally grey. They even had the small dragon technically attack first.

The scene with Daemon singing to the dragon was interesting because that dragon is as large as the other one and unclaimed. I think we'll know where this show is going to go by who ends up claiming it. Daemon already has one so it won't be him. The character who is supposed to claim it hasn't been introduced yet.

Season 2 kicked off last night. I had meant to rewatch the first season but didn't find the time. A bit confused about who was who but overall it was pretty decent.

They're excellent for use in maki rolls.

Cole seemed to get over his reservations about being a whore.

Episode 3 probably the best of season two thus far. I haven't been as interested in this as the original Game of Thrones but season 1 got really good as it went along and I hope they are setting this one up the same way. Anyone else still watching?

I watched the first episode. I was somewhat lost because it has been some time since I have seen the first season. Gonna give it a couple more to see if I can catch on. Otherwise I may have to go back and rewatch last season before starting again.

Pretty good last episode with some awesome battles between dragons and a couple of main characters biting the dust.

**spoiler warning**

Rumor is that Aegon somehow survived.

Pretty disappointing episode…mostly whining by both female lead characters that they aren’t allowed to be the military commanders.

Horrible finale, horrible season. A brutal waste of time.

Could not agree more. The finale was just tedious and bad. That certainly does not keep me on the edge of my seat waiting for next season. Got suckered in and now feel like a fool.

Yeah it seemed like a lot of posturing and trying to lure you in for season 3. I also read that they were going to make yet another sequel that would be between this time line and the original GOT. Ugh
