Honestly, for all the money he will make between last year and this year, it wasn’t a franchise crippling contract. If he sucks again this year the giants can cut bait after just 2 years, which was always the bright side of his deal. I was always in favor of franchising jones and signing barkely, but barkely wanted CMC money at that time so they had to franchise him. If jones is healthy I don’t mind him at QB for another year, I’m just glad they didnt trade up.
