B.Young's training camp sounds too familiar... Report from Aug 4 2023

Rookie quarterback Bryce Young was under more pressure than normal Friday, getting sacked (unofficially) four times and pressured out of the pocket a few more times. The defense was impressive, starting with a sack by Brian Burns. Equally impressive was Young didn't throw an interception in team drills after having five straight days with one. So he's not forcing anything. He finished 6-for-8 passing in team drills, including a touchdown to DJ Chark Jr. in a red zone drill. Chark is becoming one of Young's favorite targets, particularly in the red zone. But the pressure did seem to frustrate Young -- who seldom shows frustration -- a bit. He spiked the ball on the ground hard after one. Perhaps the fact that right tackle Taylor Moton was absent because of a vet day played a role in the protection breakdowns. -- David Newton

It's a wrap, JJ McCarthy best QB in the 2024 rookie class. Justin Fields higher QB rating than Caleb Williams. Dreadful Maye, Michael Penis and Spencer Gardner all busts. Caleb Williams proves the safe, high-floor pick; not a bust, but he's no JJ McCarthy.

jj "OROY" mccarthy 116.8 2 TD passes in 2 drives?? dafug?? who dis guy think he is, Kirk Cousins

justin fields 113.2

jayden daniels 109.7

Bo Nix 102.3

Caleb Williams 101.8 (with 0.0 TD passes, or any sort of end zone action. Fields goals ain't gonna git er dun)

drake maye 84.0

micheal penix jr 76.0

spencer rattler the third 63.4

So Fields sack/fumble performance exceeded what you saw from Caleb?

ESPN divides responsibility for QB fumbles behind the line of scrimmage equally with the 0-line.

With the o-line putting balls on turf, Fields this week was 2nd only to OROY PRO-BOWL QB TOP 10 IN 2024 MVP VOTING

Image

Steelers 0-line gets their act together and cleans up the fumbles, Fields in the MVP conversation? Is that what you're thinking? I dunno, seems a stretch. Russell Wilson Athletic Gear likely the starter til Steelers Week 9 bye.

Would be nice to see Fields be successful, regardless of how Williams does. Both guys can succeed as starters in the NFL. Prolly at about the same level tho.

I like Justin. But taking sacks, fumbling, and not scoring were hallmarks of his time in Chicago. Early returns are nothing has changed. You can make excuses for him or accept that as his fate.

This is just more liberal lgbtq participation trophy junk from hussra (she/her/they). Liberal propaganda is the only reason why fields had a media push during his three failed years in Chicago. Hussra (she/her/they) cant stop glazing fields despite him putting the ball in open space more then a billiards player.

He sucked. Give him another game to see what he has out of respect but he didn't show anything.

Guy looked completely washed two years ago. Better last year but Bears’ best hope is Russ is both injured and bad so that Fields gets the majority of the snaps.

Caleb Williams is the QB who will give you a chance to win the division every year.

Just Fields is the QB who gives you a chance to draft in the top 10 every year.

He didn't fumble

Then why in the game stats does it have a fumble attributed to Fields?

OK what happened on the play that he "fumbled"? Just Asking A Question

No clue but if he didn’t fumble why is it attributed to him. He has been involved in 3 fumbles in less than 2 games.
