I think half the time the computer in his head isn't rolling until he's dropped back. I don't think the data from the previous 3 quarters of play has been properly uploaded. I think Mahomes' computer is rolling the second the ball is hiked, I think all the data from 3 quarters has been properly uploaded. That's not a knock on Fields because that's 80% of QBs. The knock on Fields is the fumbles, interceptions, not throwing over the middle and the collar being tight late in the game. He can't make up for that with a couple wow plays in the first 3 quarters.

"No one wanted Fields" is not putting the wrong label on something, it's apparently just not true, or wasn't at the time.

A reasonable goal for Fields would be to become the next (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky.
(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky has been collecting NFL checks for a number of years now as a backup.

Again thus is just simply "misleading" to repeatedly suggest this.

Fields won't even hit that ceiling. No one is going to give a contract to a QB who turns the ball over like him. When shopping for a back-up, ball security is one of the top things a team will look for.
