I wondered the same. It was also good to hear the reason why the offense took a while to get untracked on Saturday. Maybe I missed it but I didn't hear that from Amin and Miller.

The Warren deal was strange with the seats. But I am sure having a stadium plan for things is pretty important once they get all the location stuff figured out so they can hit the ground running. Still shouldn't have been on the episode. I think he just probably gave notice that he expects to be on so many episodes.

The Bears organization had an easy 7 figures worth of salary sitting around a table discussing the proper mix of chair heights in a hypothetical stadium that will never be built. And that conversation was the highest & best use of Warren & the Harem.

That’s probably exactly what George Halas had in mind when he created professional football 100 years ago.

Add me to the list of people not worried about Keenan Allen. I think his "struggles" are just the dominance of Jaylon Johnson. He absolutely lit up the Bengals secondary in scrimmages to the point that Bengals beat writers had to try to calm down worries from their fan base about them last week.

I'm ready for Week 1. This Bears season is going to be like the 2008 Blackhawks. We're almost there and the next decade will be fun.

I'd rather have a CEO of the Bears sticking with business and not getting in the way of Ryan Poles, which seems to be how things are working.

Honestly I suspect that meeting was just for the cameras so they could have an excuse to show the stadium renderings. Certain things we're going to see in Hard Knocks are no doubt scripted. I'd say the Saban/Eberflus conversation was one of those moments as well as I'll guarantee you they had that conversation already in April.

Allen is also a 12yr vet with a borderline hall of fame resume.

I’m not super concerned with how he does in a month of preseason.

Wondering who gets final approval on what they are showing.

They are trying to show that Eberflus is key in Caleb's development, but you can tell by his body language that he is not paying attention to any of the rah rah shish boom bah platitudes that Eberflus feels are necessary to sound footbally.

Warren makes a ton of money to hold meaningless meetings with meaningless staff members, anyone could work 10-hour days if you have four hours of grab ass time built into each day.

Poles comes out looking like the guy running the show.

The only other real take away is that Montez Sweat is a massive dude, even NFL players look tiny when they stand next to him.

Does anyone notice that Eberflus doesn't really have anything to say of substance to Williams? He just kinda has this forced small talk with him.

Yeah, the 3rd episode was pretty interesting. I thought the first two were garbage though.

Ps: Was it my imagination or does Caleb have a man purse? LOL

What a dork.

When it works, Hard Knocks makes viewers feel like they’re inside an NFL locker room, on the practice field and in the meetings during training camp. And part of that is hearing profanity. But not this year.

This season’s Hard Knocks, which chronicles training camp with the Bears, doesn’t include profanity because the family that owns the Bears doesn’t approve. Shannon Furman, the director of Hard Knocks, told CHGO that the McCaskey family doesn’t want to be associated with profanity so Hard Knocks isn’t airing it.

“I’ll be honest, this team curses much less than any other team I’ve been around, but it is out of respect for the McCaskey family,” Furman said. “It’s something that they don’t do and wouldn’t want to see it, so it’s kind of been a decision that was made out of respect for them letting us in their house and wanting to be respectful to them.”

Virginia is watching and frowns upon profanity?

I do too, but Clawmaster has a point.

The footage to date of Eberflus and Caleb is incredibly generic and feels forced. That's fine....but I'm just not buying it. Eberflus has to prove himself, considering the bullshit staff issues from last year. He's not Trestman or Nagy....but I'm not a fan, yet either.

Is it possible that was just staged for the show, and IRL the OC runs those meetings with Eberflus just hovering in the background?

I’d rather see in depth meeting with Caleb and our OC. Caleb knows more about being a QB than Flus.

At the end of the day the Flus has a 10-24 record, considerable heat will be applied to his backside if the team craps the bed in the lid lifter.

The same can be said about Poles.

The extended honeymoon period is over, these guys have to start producing wins or the HITS principal get tossed in the same dumpster as the Nagy Denny's menu play call sheets.

Hard Knocks does prove that the BS you heard from all the Bears apologists about Ted Phillips not being involved in football decisions was a complete lie. It was always cringeworthy when Hub would pull that idiocy with callers, the day Olin checked him on it made for some deliciously awkward radio.

Poles obviously has to run all proposed trades and contracts through Warren, and the team president is in on all hires, so he is in fact involved in all of the high-level football decisions.

My kids are over the top with expectation of greatness. Way too optimistic for a team with a rookie qb and a suspect offensive line.

They won 7 last year with a questionable qb and without all the offensive upgrades. This year against an easier schedule with what's likely to be a better receiving corps and an improvement at qb (plus a defense that so far has been impressive). I'd like to think we see 9 wins.

Poles job is pretty safe right now. The magic he pulled in the Carolina trade alone has ensured that.

he'll absolutely bus toss the Flus, especially after going after so much defensive minded acquisitions. It's already "leaked" that these players are his guys. I don't think the Bears will get above 8 wins this year because they haven't fixed the OL, and I think Eberflus gets launched indeed.

The schedule alone gets them 9W, just like the schedule got them 7 last year. If they're are even close to being good, They could start out 7-3. Look at those first 10 games. It appears the NFL wants nothing more than the Bears to be relevant.
