For years, my dad insisted that he took me to see a movie called Monkey Trouble on New Year's Day, and that was the worst movie he ever saw, but I have no recollection of ever being taken to such a movie. I did see Camp Nowhere and the Street Fighter movie at the old Randhurst General Cinema, and those were really bad.

I think if you had to ad-lib, like, "what's the worst movie you've ever seen," you'd say it was a children's movie and it was called something like I dunno Monkey Trouble or something like that.

EDIT: oh, Baby Geniuses, saw that too. I think my friends and I were trying to do like an MST3K thing for a while there, except I was the only one who watched that show and they called me gay for liking it, and none of us were really clever enough to pull it off anyway, so in 1998-1999 we just went to a lot of bad movies, were obnoxious, got bored, and played video games in the lobby.

I saw Last of the Dogmen at the old Tivoli South. Now the Tivoli was a classic and still is but the south location was a former porn theater turned somewhat legit. Age 18 really high and nowhere to go with a friend we watched this. We were the only people in the theater so we just started smoking.

I also saw the new footloose with a girl. She thought it was the original not knowing they had made a remake. Once again we were the only people in the theater. So we fucked. That woman became my second wife. That movie might have ranked as the worst movie I saw. I did not pay attention to it at all but the evening was fun.

Post divorce of my first marriage my Nephew moved in with me. He was maybe 22 ish and I was 29. We saw a lot of bad movies at Ogden six because we would get drunk, grab tacos and more beer and just blatantly walk in there without paying begging for someone to say something. Was totally not worth anyone’s effort. We were fucking assholes and I regret that period of my life. If you worked there or I ruined a movie for you I apologize. I was in a dark place.

Have mentioned this elsewhere, but...

Flash Gordon. It was made in about 1980. Went to Ford City to see it. I was only nine or ten, and every movie back then was still awesome, and so half an hour into the film, I developed a strange feeling in my gut. Later, I remember thinking, "This movie . . . isn't good." I was shocked. Still, it did have the immortal line, which Flash delivers to Ming when asked who the hell he is: "Flash Gordon. Quarterback. New York Jets."

The next time I had that experience was during Spies Like Us. We just weren't laughing.

Fast forward to fatherhood: The one about the duck who thinks the sky is falling. AWFUL.

Also, took some nieces or nephews to see the Great Swine Films of '95. Gordy sucked balls. Babe was awesome. However, Gordy had an awesome country song that I could only remember two lines to but would always sing anyway: "Suckin' in your tummy, checking out your butt."

one thing i picked up on is that despite sex flowing in and out of almost every scene, the couple never physically cheated on each other.

she had fantasies and rejected the passes of the hungarian tomcat. he rejected models, prostitutes, his patient's daughter, young girl at the costume shop, the orgy at the mansion...etc. could be #217 on kubrick's list of meanings of the movie.

That's not the immortal line from Flash Gordon. It's this.

Joe Pantoliano is a God. No movie he blesses us by acting in is crap.
