That franchise that’s in another stratosphere success wise also drafted Kenny Pickett in the first round a couple years ago to be their QB . How’d that work ? Why couldn’t this great organization develop him ?

Weren't there predictions of impending Trubiskian Glory when Mitch moved to the Steelers? How'd that go?

Pittsburgh hit the jackpot 20 years ago when they drafted Big Ben, but that hardly means the franchise is an authority on QB development. The last few years of their Quarterbacking Follies suggest just the opposite.

I trust that Organization and it's evaluation of talent a helluva lot more than I do the Bears that's for sure.

So did the national media when they drafted Pickett, whose potential Steelers executives had unique opportunities to evaluate since their team trains in close proximity to Pitt (not sure if they actually shared/share the same facility). Needless to say, they miserably failed in assessing Picket despite an immense scouting advantage.

They've hit on QBs before. The Bears never have. Huge difference.

Finally admitted the bears missed on Fields. That's nice.

The curren't regime failed with Pickett and brought in Wilson and Fields to compensate. They'll be drafting another QB in the first round next year.

Russell Wilson didn't do anything yesterday to lose his starting slot

Fields won't even be in Pittsburgh next year. His 5th year option was already declined.

It's not insane to believe Fields will start this season. Quarterbacks get hurt and others are benched for performance reasons. Sitting behind Wilson for a couple of months could help with Fields' ego and upgrade his computer.

Of course he will start games this season. But I don't think sitting behind someone will do much to fix his faulty wiring.

As for as fields starting next year... I think he's going to be a $25 mm cap hit. That might change his status with Pitts.

Last post... I think that cap hit might be old news based on Pittsburgh knowing well enough to decline his 5th year. He'll likely be a free agent in February.

Randy Moss was much funnier than this dope but he targeted Right Wingers thus he had to be launched.

Justin Fields delivers a clear message to his offensive line
After wrapping up their third preseason game without securing a victory, one of the two quarterbacks in contention for the Week 1 starting spot made a statement regarding the performance of his offensive line.

According to ESPN, Justin Fields, the former Chicago Bears quarterback, stated: “They did all right, but there’s also room to grow,” Fields said of the offensive line. “So just going to look at the mistakes that we had and what plays we could have done better on and get better.”

Glad this guy is not our problem anymore. @ Fields telling anyone they, "Did all right." What a douchebag

As opposed to making a huge deal about a messy locker room huh? At least he is actually discussing football related issues as opposed to housekeeping. Good grief
