I speculated on the Bernstein-Harris followed by Spiegel-Holmes match up but I certainly hope it doesn't happen. While it may not be a popular view here, I like both Dan and Matt. When Dan wasn't there and we had Larry and Leila it was NOT good. Dan mitigates that for me, and I find him humorous. Spiegel is a good guy I have met him, I have even sung with him... He's friendly and down to earth. BUT if both those guys are paired with Harris or Holmes, I wont listen much. And I'll take another unpopular stance, I would rather have Jason Goff matched with either Dan or Matt because I think Jason brings some fire ( and da passion.)

my actual preference (assuming they won't do anything radical like find new talent) is just continue Bernstein in semi-retirement path with Spiegel (I think they'd get along now that Dan doesn't care as much, and I agree they're the two best personalities currently)

and give Holmes his own solo spot midday. He can bring in a different protege every day to talk serious with on his personal status within Chicago Media. Have old friend Goff do a weekly call-in hit, like how W&S do with Barstool Big Cat . I won't listen to any of it, but at least it isolates LoHo time and doesn't ruin other hosts

Great news!! The Score has turned Goff down. He made ridiculous demands and they said fuck you. He is such a loser. I hope he is happy doing a podcast that nobody listens to and hosting a pregame show for a terrible NBA team. Time for him to add a Porsche to go with his ranger rover. Everyone is better off without Goff. It is troubling that the Score even considered the loser.

I am not expecting any changes other than whom they eventually hire, but cleaning house would be ideal.

This is a terrible decision. Obviously a DEI, cost saving measure. LoHo is a good interviewer, but an awful show host. He will likely do a comic book segment every day at 3:00 and then have a journalism lecture at 4:00 followed by a summary of his athletic achievements at 5:00. Of course, fake laughing and name dropping through out the day. I assume Bernstein will do a solo show in order to save money. I wonder if Bernstein was offered the afternoon slot? It is pretty sad that Chicago has two sports stations and neither one is very good.

The only good thing about this is that it removes any chance of me listening to the smarmy, thin-skinned Spiegel .... I'll miss hearing Tanny's work, though. That said, Shane go can screw - glad he'll be effectively removed from my listening rotation, too.

I liked having Dan and Sir sequestered in a show I have no chance of hearing. Spiegs and Sir does not seem like a good pairing. Who is the lead?

I am guessing Spiegs since his name is first, but that is going to be a problem. Both guys want to drive the show. Spiegs let Parkins drive but I dont think he is going to be agree to be 2nd chair after being in afternoons for this long. He is going to see it as his show.
