Shane Reardon is one guess of mine. And here is the shocker, Larry himself. I think so. Helps his enormous ego. Passive aggressive way to say "Fuck You" to Bernstein. What do you guys think?

All signs point to Jason Goff. He is a butt buddy with Jeff Aggrest

According to Reddit, there are four staffers on the inside (read Stoolies)- one in HR for Audacy, one salesperson at WSCR, and two behind the scenes. They all have it out for Bernstein mainly because of the way he treats co-workers at times.

A stoolie working in HR, man, that's something.

Everything we've heard on this board was that Senor was well-liked in the hallways, though.

Not when Lawrence is in said hallway.

Dan Bernstein is a guy who at one point had as bright a star as anyone in his business. But the years got away from him and all he ever amounted to was taking 70IQ callers in flyover country. Nobody is more aware of this than he is, I’d imagine he’s miserable to work with these days. Who wouldn’t be? It would be like a doctor in the twenty-fifth year of his residency or an airline pilot who never became a captain.

All the training, all the talent but just squandered it because he lacked initiative at a major inflection point of his career. A very cautionary tale of what NOT to do in your forties.

I don't know about that. It's more that he never recovered from losing Terry and the whole B&B dynamic. No shame in afternoon drive in Chicago, but now he's just a shadow of himself.

Probably Shane. I know he hangs out pretty regularly with the Barstool Chicago crew.

He can blame Terry's retirement all he wants, but he was the one who drove the show away from being fun and not taking things too seriously. He did that while Terry was still there.

He could’ve done more. The money doesn’t really matter past a certain point.

He always wanted to be in the coastal elite but he never made the jump. Chicago, dearly as I love my home, is a cowtown. Especially these days its just an afterthought “value” city for people who were never gonna make it in San Francisco, DC or New York. He’s got Facebook and Twitter, he sees what his friends from college are doing and I bet you he wishes he left here when he still could.

Bernstein may have thought he was content, but seeing Parkins jump up and do what he had always dreamed of has to sting right now.

Always cracks me up how random message board people know what people like Bernsie really wanted.

You all conveniently forget history that has been talked about many times on the air and here at this message board.

He had opportunities and decided to stay.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Parkins made the other choice. Nothing wrong with that either.

Both have had a career that 99% of us would die to have.

Not only that, he completely changed (for better or worse) the way sports are talked about, analyzed and consumed in this city. He redefined the Chicago sports Zeitgeist from the late 90s through 2010 or so. He is the most important figure in Chicago sports media over the past 25 years.

He had opportunities, didn’t take them, and now he’s a surly old misanthrope who seems to have alienated his coworkers. Sure, he had some dream job that us bozos on the computer wish we had. OK, you think that’s any sort of solace? I don’t.

Right, but 2010 was fourteen years ago which is a long time to just rest on your laurels.

yet many of his coworkers speak highly of him. And they are people who have no problem breaking bad on people.

So this stuff dont fly either.

Beyond that, the assumption that a "national" TV job has the same importance or salary it did a couple decades ago is simply incorrect. Parkins is basically doing a glorified version of the CLTV show that Greenberg hosted in the mid-90s. His audience is tiny, his relevance is questionable, and his salary is likely considerably less than what North, Mac and other Chicago sports talk heavyweights were pulling in during the halcyon days of sports talk radio in the 90s and early aughts.

I'll allow that's it's possible for there to have been significant roster turnover since the Entercom merger and that maybe the office culture isn't the same. However, "everyone at the Score hates Dan" was never a thing.

Maybe Midget has a point but Parkins still makes more today than anyone at the Score and he probably isn't done trying to move up.

The LoHo angle. The other two angles are being pursued by other publications. Hopefully, they can get confirmation of the info and run the stories.

Parkins looks like Gollum. I don't see a long future in TV.

What was the Holmes angle? He decided not to remove himself from consideration?
