I'm about as happy about that win as I would be if the Bulls blew out the Washington Wizards by 30 in December. And no one would be "instructing" me to be Euphoric about it if I weren't. Unlike here for some strange reason

They are loading up "great performances" against teams that suck. And people are pissed because a few happened to point that out. Unbelievable!

I am weary of this shit. This is an almost picture perfect recreation of the 2020 campaign where the Bears had the NFL’s best record six weeks in and then promptly blew it. Everyone said the correction was coming, I thought the Bears had grit, then they flushed the season down the toilet.

The Lions lost arguably the football player in the world for a very long time. The Bears chances improve pretty significantly with that news.

Beating the brains in of bad teams is what good teams do. I will remain skeptical of the HC and QBs ceiling until I see them beat the Packers but certainly will not be complaining about wins that look like the last two weeks.

I'm skeptical because all of their wins have come against 1 win teams.

Yeah, that dude is Max Crosby. Unstoppable. A huge loss.

Me too but I'm happy they poured it on. It's a box checked. Now we wait two LONG weeks to go against a team that I thought would get run over by Baltimore and didn't, and has a QB that we can compare ours to in real time.

Just about everybody will want it to go well. Not you of course, you have an axe to grind.

I'm a Bears fan first and foremost. But I'm also a realistic sports fan and always have been. And even if I weren't, I'm a little too long in the tooth to be an idealistic pom pom waving fanboy.
There is nothing which I have seen (including the last 2 weeks) to suggest that this team will be more than an 8 win team that also will miss the playoffs at season's end.
And if they are (with this schedule and talent) then that will be a disappointment

1 NBA game has nowhere near the value of 1 NFL game. The two just are not analogous.

you can't expect me to take your football opinions seriously when you make that second to last sentence. Not the best football player in the world. Not the best defensive player in the league. Not the best defensive end in the league. Not even the best football player on his team.

Lions trade for Max Crosby hasn't happened...yet.

Crosby shoving his coaches and chirping about Raiders sucking, could be on his way out of Vegas by the trade deadline.

Other Edges beyond Crosby potentially available on the trade market rn:

Za'Darius "Pro Bowl DE" Smith (Browns), Haason "Pro Bowl DE" Reddick (Jets), Azeez Ojulari (Giants), Jadeveon "Pro Bowl DE" Clowney (Panthers), Josh Uche (Patriots)

Raiders might only get like a conditional 4th rounder for a disgruntled/distressed asset like Crosby, who wants to trade for a player who goes around Sprewell-ing his coaches:

You can even transfer it to college. No one celebrates when Northwestern rolls the score up on East Carolina. So why are we celebrating now?

Any word on Gordon? That is an injury we cannot afford. His contributions are unique.

He has some to Moss and Gronk and Evans. Most of his highlights are clutch throws or comebacks.

I don't believe anyone here, including me, is saying this version of the Bears is a Super Bowl team. That said, there's no reasonable reason to dismiss this team's growth. They did win 4 games in the 2022 season. They weren't trying to lose last year, but their starter didn't win his fourth game until their 15th game of the season.

I'm encouraged by the way this team is playing all around. The injuries are creeping up, but they're not missing a beat. Shout out to Bearded Eberflus.

Last Year's QB has 4 wins in 6 games this year despite playing a much tougher schedule and playing with inferior talent.

His first six years were just converting third downs on penalties to set up field goals. Belichick completely changed the way he coached because he already beat the game doing Parcells stuff but those early years of the Patriots were just soul-crushing.

That is great. Last year and 2022 still happened. Besides we're discussing the growth of a historically shitty Bears organization, not an organization that may have had 1 losing season this century.

Caleb is making Eberflus and Waldron better, not the other way around.

Williams made several high level throws yesterday, throws that I saw QBs across the NFL miss on Red Zone.

These aren't difficult throws. You could have drove a mack truck through these dudes were so open.

The screen game has been awesome.

That the screen game has been awesome opened up the seam TD to Kmet. This is operating like a real NFL offense, where good things happen intentionally and not because something broke on the defense.

I agree. It looks 2020ish. I would love to see a first and second drive touchdown. Some competence in that area would go a long way.

You're more special than I thought if you can say with a straight face that Allen was "so open" and not "thrown open" on his 2 TD catches.
