They don't want Fields using the middle of the field, and their play-action pass game — something the Steelers want to use with great frequency — has been mostly ineffective.

The Steelers have used play-action with Fields 32.3 percent of the time, second only to Detroit’s Jared Goff (35.4) in the league. Fields is averaging 5.0 yards per attempt using play-action, according to Pro Football Reference, ranking 22nd among starting quarterbacks. He is one of only two quarterbacks who has not thrown a touchdown using play-action.

Conversely, Wilson averages 8.4 yards per attempt using play action in his career.

That's because Tomlin knows that Fields can't throw.

Neither does Fields so I'm sure that wasn't a long conversation.

Seems that no matter where he goes poor Justin Fields has no time and no one is open . Even though he “chose” to go to Pittsburgh even though Ryan Poles had multiple offers for him to go to other teams for better draft picks because that was a better situation for him. It seems like he chooses a better“ situation from himself as well as he finds open receivers.

You can learn very little from a Brick McCarver

Justin Fields is much more accurate as a passer than Caleb Williams

I'm pretty sure Russ can throw for more then 150 yards 0/0 against bumslaying teams like LV.

What is the excuse when PITT doesn't extend Fields and no NFL teams offers him a starter spot? If Fields played at the high level LTG and his Cult claim he has then PITT should extend his contract or some bottom feeder NFL team should.

Rex Ryan referred to Justin Fields as a Franchise QB just yesterday. I trust his opinion a helluva lot more than I trust yours that's for sure.

What team is Rex Ryan coaching again?

Nah Caleb Williams is extremely inaccurate as a passer. It didn't take long to figure that out either

Thousands and thousands of people listen to Holmes and Spiegs every day. What's your point? Hitler had a huge audience and that didn't go so well for his followers.

That Rex Ryan knows more about football than you do. If you think that he doesn't then you're deranged.

Does Ryan know more than Tomlin who is seemingly benching Fields?

Are you suggesting that backup quarterbacks frequently get a franchise tag?

Fields will start, but Wilson will be ready to come in if the offense is ineffective. Plus Tomlin makes the opposition prepare for both of them.

Definitely something a real coach would put out there. Make them plan for both.

But I wouldn’t love it if I’m fields.

I have it 50/50. Which is too great of an odd for someone as scary as the Phantom to ever take. He's eagerly scouring the internet currently trying to find a way to "inside trade" on me. Then and only then will he take the action. He has the intuitive capabilities of a thumb tack

He had his chance in March and backed down again.

Yup, have thought this for weeks, Jets have good CB's, so have to be able to work the middle of the field which Justin has never been able to do for whatever reason. You also have the very real possibility of sack/strips as Justin holds the ball against Watt.

This is a tough game for the Steelers against the Jets D, but also have a Jets in desperately trying to win as they are facing the very real possibility that the Aaron Rodgers experiment will end in disaster for the organization.
