Listened to the first hour today and there is no doubt in my mind: this is a sports talk show on the radio.

That is an interesting observation. It seemed like Harris and Leila really wanted to pile on Bernstein yesterday. Leila's default seems to be set at dismissing almost anything Bernstein says; and what she doesn't dismiss she will repeat and present as if it is her own idea.

Leila referenced her ex-husband again this week, and often talks about her dating challenges due to lack of time in her life for a relationship. I think the show needs to set up an “ask him anything” segment with said ex-husband. It would help us understand her better because she comes off as a grumpy low energy sports talk host.

Not sure I did but she does come off that way at times. She is the type of woman that you realize in the first week is not long term material.

show's not bad other than when it's a 3 man booth. Or two man one woman. Just can't get past Leila's voice, although her sports acumen is sometimes better than I expect.

I think she a terrible sports personality, and I said the same about her in another thread. She looks like a lush, but an annoying one. It would be a hard pass for me.

I have contended for several years that she routinely gets drunk before her Score appearances. This was especially true when she was Bernstein's full-time partner. She seemed to need to get wasted to be able to cope with Bernstein's unpalatable combination of condescension and dogmatic deference to advanced statistics. She's been much pissier with him over the past several months, so maybe she's on the wagon.

I don't think she's drunk, or buzzed. That's just her word delivery and speech pattern.

She used to slur her speech a lot, and her thoughts were less coherent than they've been recently. I thinky thinky she's a little drinky drinky.

If a person whose job it is to work for three minutes every few hours, five days per week finds her work causes her trouble in dating, then no one should be dating. Giangreco and Taft didn't seem to have problems under those constraints

People have written some things about her on this page based more on assumptions than knowledge and used them as reasons for her situation. The fact is though that she is an acceptably attractive single earner who is who is open to the concept of marriage but sits with Sir being her best amorous prospect. Make of that what you will

Agreed, and it's disqualifying for me no matter her sports thoughts. Kind of like Jason Goff.

They've had plenty of women try out and sound acceptable. Like whoever subbed with Spiegel a few weeks ago. Even Julie DiCaro sounded fine in a fidelity sense, she had other issues

Though I did catch Leila (in the 'this show sucks' Thread) talking with food in her mouth, so maybe there is also a lack of professionalism on top of lack of skill/talent

Some people just aren’t meant to be married. A lot of married people fall into this category. I’m one of them that luckily didn’t get married and I never will.

Leila is one of those. But hasn’t admitted it to herself. I’ve heard her bitch about her ex husband. My guess is she was equally responsible for the failed marriage if not more so. He bitches about her at the bar. She just gets to do it on the radio.

But she’s over 40 now. Kids are not a reason to get married at this point. She makes 6 figures. There is no reason for her to get married at this point. Just hook up with some good looking married guys and fuck them. Lawyers and doctors. That’s my advice for her. She can find a bunch of them on her work schedule. Lunches instead of dinners.

She annoying. Thinks she’s smarter then way she is. I wouldn’t want to have a conversation with her.

She should like that I’m saying that about her since she’s constantly bitching about people hitting on her on twitter. I’m not like them Leila. If you approached me, I would turn you down. So that makes me one of the good ones.

Leila: What?

That’s right. Confusing for you.

Well, anyway, Laurence dropped some breadcrumbs for a story he's apparently not really going to break, which is that NBC pulled the plug on NBC Sports Chicago and basically gave the teams about six months to put together a replacement network. This goes a long way in explaining, well, everything?

Well good for her for being prepared. I spend a large portion of my day reading the WSJ front to back, watching CNBC, and reading trade journals. It is the type of thing you do when your in a line of business that you love. So I’m not gonna cry that she has to invest her time in sports eight hours per day….that must be horrible.

Leila, everybody gets that you have to sit around at NBC 5 for 7 or 8 hours. I’m not gonna give you credit for reading sports articles and watching podcasts on YouTube to kill time before you have to go on air for3 minutes 3 times a day.

Can you just admit you have a bullshit job. And that it’s not really hard. Nobody would begrudge you for admitting it. I’m saying this for the dumb ass Guys that have to he same job. So I do don’t hate women.

But I’m guessing that after the 6pm broadcast Leila can hit a reastaurant for a date with a guy down the street and be back by 9pm to get ready for the 10 pm broadcast.

I don’t want to hear the poor Leila can’t get a guy cuz of her work hours anymore.

Excellent question. Too bad we couldn't get an answer from the guy playing I-know-something-you-don't-know about a channel that no longer exists.

One of two things happens:
1) BD can’t get it up,
2) Two pump chump.

Leila makes it back by 7:09.

I know something you don’t know has always been my least favorite score game. I don’t know why they do it.
