Again, you are claiming Fields is better than Jordan Love, I want to make sure that is blatantly clear.

The question was answered already. And it's not like Jordan Love is an elite quarterback thus why the disbelief?

One got a near record extension... the other was traded for a 6th rd pick, so I understand the need for clarification

The 6th rd pick thing is more a reflect of Poles and his ineptitude as a GM than anything. Pittsburgh also fleeced him on the Claypool trade too. So what else is new?

If you play the drinking game every time this dude references Caleb being "just a rookie"

Poles should have known Waldron's scheme would take time to learn and tried to find some OL guys that knew Waldren's system to help with the learning curve. Obviously they are not picking it up quickly.

Reminds me of Nagy's scheme and how he had to simplify it for Fields when it was too much for him to concept. Waldren is not teaching a seasoned vet like G.Smith and needs to realize the difference in a vet and a rookie.

Fields was 23rd in QBR in 2023. Guess that is the reason the Bears only got a 6th round pick.

You don't think it takes time for a rookie QB to adjust to the NFL? Just asking a question.

One guy is not like the other. A grade school kid could tell you the difference between the two situations.

Host: What's the answer

5th grader: One guy is in his 4th season in the league and started dozens of games with minimal improvement. while the other just played his 6th game in the NFL and threw for 4 TD's.

But the same people who think Caleb is playing great are the same ones who thought he was terrible when he posted similar numbers last season

Agreed. But here’s the difference. Fields has not gotten better, while Caleb has shown consistent improvement. Caleb’s played six games. His pocket awareness and ability to read defenses is well beyond what Fields has done in three plus years.

Look, most of us liked Fields and wanted to succeed. But his inability to secure the ball and put up robust passing yards are a rinse/repeat story.

Fields is playing with a much better supporting cast and his "improvement" is the result of playing shitty teams. I know MANY hate to bring either of these 2 rather relevant point up but it's the truth.

Yes Caleb has played against poor defenses. He is still showing a lot with running a fast offense, calling audibles, scanning the field and finding open receivers, taking care of the ball, and having pocket awareness. It has been impressive.

The throws to Allen were great- the one in the corner and the 3d down play between two defenders. The fakes on the TD to Kmet were also impressive.

Actually I was in 4th or 5th grade when this Generational demonstrated in his Rookie season what an actual "Generational talent" is supposed to look like. Which is why I don't get all giddy about someone bumslaying shitty teams like you do.

For 2 weeks straight guys were running free and he received absolutely no pressure in either game. He played mostly against backups against Carolina too.. With his recent great play he is still only 27th in QBR.

And truth be told he's exhibiting the same traits that he did in college. Bumslaying Shitty teams. We'll see if it is the start of something or just simply bumslaying at its finest.
I already know however.

The Jags lost by like four to the Texans. The Bears destroyed them.

Jags have the worst passing defense in the league this season or 2nd worst depending on which day of the week it is.

Hell Geriatric Joe Flacco put up 350 yards on him just last week.

I wouldn't make that bet Doctor. I think Russell Wilson will be starting Sunday.
He had his chance in March and backed down again.

The North is going to be a good test for Caleb. We will know by the end of the season.

Probably the most notable tidbit from JTO's patreon of Fields is when Fields runs out of bounds right in front of Wilson close enough to shake hands but neither one of them acknowledge the other.
