Her twitter does not identify her as being at NBC5. And today she left early to skip transition because she had to go to a meeting. They used to say she was going to her "real job". I get texts from my sister nightly asking where she has gone as she hasnt been on in awhile. So I took the case. Personally Im only interested in getting my sister the information so she will stop asking.

"Leila Rahimi is no longer at NBC 5 Chicago, the Sun-Times has learned. She continues to appear on The Score’s midday show with Dan Bernstein and Marshall Harris twice a week.

Rahimi became NBC 5’s lead sports anchor in March 2022, making her the first woman with that title at the station. She had been working part-time at NBC 5 and full-time at The Score, where she hosted the midday show with Bernstein. Rahimi then began appearing only on Wednesdays.

The promotion at NBC capped Rahimi’s return to regular TV after she was let go by NBC Sports Chicago in August 2020 as part of layoffs throughout NBCUniversal. The Score hired her in January 2021, and NBC 5 put her back on TV in November after Siafa Lewis left the station.

Rahimi’s departure leaves Mike Berman as the only full-time sports anchor/reporter on staff. Ruthie Polinsky left NBC 5 to join the new Chicago Sports Network last month.
