the 6-Citizen Bull has been working well on this track, and has a 1st and 3rd here as well. Interesting to note this horse won the American Pharoah Stakes, and 5 of the last 10 winners of THAT race have won THIS race…

Interesting indeed

If Vahva and Content both win tomorrow they may not have enough money to pay me.

I am against Thorpedo Anna. First, I hated her race barely beating bums in the Cotillion. Second, although she looked good out there this week, she bled in her nose and mouth after training.

The Distaff is going to be an oddly run race. Alice Verite will be out winging on a 5-10 length lead. I don't know if she can hang on, but at 40/1 it might be worth it to find out.

In any case, I don't think Hernandez is going to take Alice Verite seriously. He'll believe that Anna can take her any time he asks. We've all seen this show before. An overconfident jock sits chilly as a loose frontrunner gets braver and braver and the time to make up ground runs out.

Saturday Breeders Cup Del Mar

Race 4 Fillies and Mare Sprint

Think the pace will be fast…9-Ways and Means might be the favorite after winning a G1 and G2 in the slop out east, but I’m not sure who she beat …both 4-Vahva and the 6-Society have had success at this tweener distance of 7 furlongs…the 10-Scylla split the 4 and the 10 this summer at Saratoga and is going to get a great trip from just off the pace…2-One Magic Philly is 2/2 on this course…Speed types in the seventeen editions of this race-17:0-2-2

Race 5 Turf Sprint

Far outside posts will make it difficult for the two logical contenders the 11-Big Evs winner here last year or the 12-Bradsell to try to fend off the heavy favorite the 9-Cogburn…the 5-Ag Bullet has amassed over $1.4 Million in ten races the 6-Star of Mystery is a girl against the boys but she has quite the late kick

Race 6 The Distaff

I agree with JORR that the 2-Thorpedo Anna is vulnerable, but if she dominates, it won’t be a surprise. I also agree that the pace might be a bit herky-jerky…the 6- Raging Sea has won 6 of her last 7 races and is formidable…not as sure about JORR’s 4-Alice Verite, but certainly is bred to run all day…the 1-Candied gets the rail and Irad Ortiz, could save ground to her advantage…the 9-Awesome Result is another Japanese horse, this one I prefer-out of Justify.

Race 7 Turf

Another wide-open affair…10-Rebel Romance likely favorite…I do like the 3-Shahryar who finished third in this race last year…keep in mind that Euros have won 20 of 25 editions…5-Jayarebe is a very logical Euro choice for trainer Meehan who has two BC victories…O’Brien’s record here 34:7-6-5 and he saddles the 10-Wingspan…good luck here

Race 8 The Classic

Keep in mind that the only double-digit winner in the last 15 years was in 2011, nine straight at 9/2 or less…3-City of Troy…O’Brien says he’s his best ever, so, uhm yeah…but 9-Fierceness, 14-Next quality horses hard to handicap in this race yikes could get really interesting…think his stablemate of the 3, 11-Sierra Leone is sitting on a very nice effort, and could turn the tables on Fierceness…1-Forever Young, look these Japanese horses will start breaking through like they have overseas, and with as many are entered here today, look out …I feel strongly that this is a very, very good horse...the 11-Sierra Leone could benefit from a faster track and be able to close into the exotics at a big price...I am at a olss to understand how 14-Nest tremendous talents will translate to this pace and distance, can't be excluded

Race 9 Fillies and Mares Turf

Great race…absolutely love the 2-Full Count Felicia…ridiculous effort up at Woodbine in a solid G1 event, dominated…4-War Like Goddess may have lost a bit but still has great power rankings...3-Cinderella’s Dream was on fire her last two out out east…JORR has selected the 7-Content for O’Brien who simply cannot be overlooked
