Homer Bush was returning kicks on Sunday. It was clear Herbert was gone. He was their best runner in at least a decade.

I think the addition of Swift made him obsolete. Similar skill set, both have good speed, both can catch.. Swift was an upgrade tho and he’s probably a better blocker too.



Liked Herbert tho, he was probably their 3rd best back.

I know Tarik Cohen wasn’t a bellcow but I thought he was special talent and IMO their best back since Forte retired.

Herbert, Montgomery and Howard were all about equally good. I gotta say Swift has been better than all of them.

I don't love Swift, but running back is pretty much the bottom of any offensive concerns.

He was a pro. That should be good for his career.

Fresh, ready to contribute, good player…feel like that’s worth more than a seventh even if it is just a running back. You’re probably not getting the fourth for Fields either. Bears sure seem to lose a lot of players who are under contract and not get much in return.
