I haven’t seen Maye hit a check down but I’m not watching closely. Most of what I’m seeing looks like first read stuff.

He's consistently taking the checkdown most of the time when he feels pressure. Caleb doesn't

I meant like specific examples. USA gave me the 3yd pass on a failed drive. Are there others?

It has occurred consistently throughout the game.

I hope Stevenson is on the bench because of his dog shit effort today and not because he’s injured

Your comments make no sense because apparently you don’t even understand the comments you’re making and the responses to them.

Waldron hasn't called many deep pass plays this season. If you think he has then you need your head examined

And where are all the Caleb won't be sacked all that much because he has such great "pocket awareness" guys from the off season? They might as well be in the witness protection program currently.

Yup. You’d think he’d have something to prove.

Instead he wants to tackle guys after they catch the ball in his face.

Williams should be benched.

If the Bears really wanted to win, they would put Bagent in here. He'd give them a spark that they could overcome the 10 pt. deficit.

He’s called enough that are at least 20 years down field tho.. which he called right before you said he wasn’t. And that’s the point.

And in any event, you don’t think it has anything to do with having an O-line that can’t hold blocks long enough?

If I'm Patriots front-office I'm calling down to the sideline and giving Jerod Mayo an earful. Wtf are you doing? we are 2 and 7. NO SHOT AT PLAYOFFS. It's a 1 player draft. We're in the driver's seat for Travis Hunter and you're going to fuck it all up by winning this game?!

Mayo be like Dude, I'm trying here, ffs. We're trying our hardest to hand them the damn game, they won't take it!

It’s been like this all year but the ball washing Caleb Williams gets from the announcers is pathetic.

On some of these sacks Williams has had plenty of time to throw. And again the Bears are in the middle as far as pressures go in the NFL. Caleb Williams is one of the most inaccurate passers in the NFL according to the stats. With this being the case how can anyone trust him with throwing deep? I wouldn't

There’s another check down.

I know these aren’t game changing plays Antioch but it is kinda nice to get positive yards instead of negative yards even on 3rd & long. It has a cumulative effect on field position etc.

Also it just looks better, and you never know maybe that running back will make a play.

Drake Maye gonna have to help out Caleb and hand the Bears a TD with an easy pick-six.

He's did it at least 5 times this game. It's not like he's not being pressured. He is. It's just that he does a better job of handling pressure than Caleb Williams does.

Caleb's check downs are covered because they're either in man or blitzing or both. Every all-22 shot on the broadcast has shown every receiver with a defender on his hip. Save for the one Cover 2 look where Caleb was pressured when DJ Moore was open on a deep out.

I would settle for a strip sack at this point

The Bears had excellent field position on their first 3 possessions 0of the game and did absolutely nothing with it.

At this point there is so little on the field to justify playing him that you’re resorting to his draft position. That’s not a good sign is it.

Sure, he takes some bad sacks. But this O-line has not proven at all that they can hold blocks for longer plays and it’s a big reason why those plays aren’t successful when they are called.

I mean, they don’t even run block very well. I think it’s because they keep mixing zone and gap schemes and that makes for inconsistency.. but Poles fucked this all up by not using the draft to focus on the line.

6 sacks. Don't talk about who he's missing or not. The guy is getting killed by his O-line. And don't even think of comparing this to the pressure Maye is facing.

The elusiveness has just disappeared. Earlier this year he would at least make a guy or two miss, now he just resigns himself and goes down. If you can’t see this is a player who is fully spiraling I don’t know what to tell you.

You have to bench him for his own good. This is not developing, this is unraveling.
