It tells me absolutely nothing either. Strength of Schedule and whom you defeat has always mattered to me whether it is "my team" or not.

Your second sentence contradicts the first.

Not really. It actually further supports it.

Why the "any distance" caveat? Any distance could be something as easy as a Quarterback sneak.

What distance QB run is better than a pass to an open wr?

I don't know. I'd probably place more value on a TD where a QB had to scramble and run it in than I would a TD to a wide open receiver from short distance. If it's a deeper pass 45 yards or more to a wide open guy then that would have more value than a short yardage scramble because the throw still has to be accurate.

Here you go LTG, this is JT O'Sullivan calling Caleb's TD pass to Keenan Allen "all-world" over and over again.

https://youtu.be/c5Xo6m4eRPA?si=kCeh46cg8sED26kX&t=1629

Bonus round, here's JTO saying that pass to Allen in the middle of the field was "elite execution":

https://youtu.be/c5Xo6m4eRPA?si=ORk6Qs8uvDmF635r&t=1208

This isn't to say the JTO is the holy grail of QB grading, but it's not unfathomable to say that Caleb was throwing guys open and not just hitting wide open receivers against the Jags.

And for kicks, here's JTO lauding Caleb for his second TD pass to Allen:

Here are Colts Backup Joe Flacco's numbers against the very same defense the week before. He's damn near as old as I am. The gurus around here ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Williams had a slightly better passer rating, significantly better QBR, and a similar average y/a. vs Jacksonville. Flacco had more overall passing yards on many more attempts.

They only played two teams over .500 in the regular season; Week 10 & 13

by ltg standards, the only unbeaten team in NFL history sucked.

Impressive streak in tact!

The fact that Flacco as a backup was able to post huge numbers illustrate just how weak their passing D is however.

Outside of injury/suspension, Fields will not be a week one QB starter.

I have $50 cash that says the only way Fields is a week one starting QB this coming September is due to another player's injury or suspension. He will not be a starter in week one based on his own merit.
Nailed it back in March.

Justin Fields On Target% 75%
Caleb Williams On Target% 57%

Justin Fields Bad Throw% 15%
Caleb Williams Bad Throw% 21%

I believe that Caleb Williams is 2nd to last in Bad Throw % of all starting qbs

And also last or 2nd to last in on Target % of all Starting QBs as well.

There is no reason to discuss Fields when he's been benched by the Steelers.

I'm glad the future of the franchise isn't built around giving a big contract to a guy who got benched for Russell Wilson. Even if Williams fails it is good to not have to deal with Justin Fields as a Bear.

Fields was benched for a HOF QB that appears to have a little more in the tank than previously thought
He'll be a starter somewhere next year and still better than what the Bears have starting now.

You're the dude who stupidly claims that Fields "can't throw" yet Fields is easily the better passer of the 2. It's not even close.

When you're as deranged and mentally challenged as he happens to be that sort of thing is virtually impossible.

I want to see what happens with a coordinator who isn't naturally scared. Can he get Caleb to play smart consistently? Can he get the other guys to buy in? Can he be creative?

Waldron may be a big part of the problem but no coordinator is going to fix his accuracy issues.
