Live events/live streaming not Netflix forte. NetFlix loads a bunch of rotating content on edge servers (open connect appliances owned and maintained by NetFlix) in ISP and cable-provider data-centers. NetFlix physically sends one of their OCA's to a provider's data center, provider installs it per the included instruction manual (or downloads the pdf version from usermanuals dot com), switches it on and connects it up to the internet. NetFlix then serves up their content from these servers. Works great for catalog content, not so great-to-useless for live-event content.

I think you need a broadcast network's satellite and remote comm infrastructure and people. NetFlix would have to lease it/borrow them from ABC or ESPN and they're unlikely to help out the competition become more competitive. No doubt insanely expensive to build-out the infra and hire folks in-house for a few events a year.
