But please explain how receiving an award based on charitable contributions is a bad thing. Maybe I'm mistaken. Let me know

They were not donations for charitys, they were for those specific groups, which are not charities. I WOULD NEVER rip North for sending money to charties, I might not like the guy, but if he does, kudos to him.

My fault KI, "contribution" would have been a better word to use.

By the way, no mention of DFM.com on the webio, no spot either, pretty sure its over.

The man quit his job to pursue his life-long dream of becoming a sports handicapper and you guys can't wait to spit on the grave.

For shame.

Right, but these were his picks, he cant blame anyone else, what he will most likely do is dump on Lange for getting rid of him so fast, say "all us hadicappers go's through dis". DFM.COM was a mistake all the away around, plus Mike said he sold 25% of it to Lange, there has to be a clause were lange will recoup some of that since he was let go so quickly.

It's like the "top 40 under 40" or "______ Stars" that are awarded to people in other industries.

Not me, that's for sure. When I saw Hub in, then Hub mysteriously out in about 48 hours, Jen's bio ("yeah, she's gorgeous but she knows sports"), Fred in that purple shirt, the whole concept of a fictional character making picks, the confusion over who exactly was making the picks, the confusion and maybe outright lies over the record and the units, and then finally the original concept scrapped and him joining Lang, I thought this had success written all over it. Go figure.

This quote right here is the one that I'll never forget:

"Her tenure on the show and at the station lasted 4 years, ending when Mike chose to leave the station and she chose to follow the Mike as he struck out on his own."

One time you'd hear both Sox AND Cubs fans sing this one:

"Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey-ey, goodbye"

spmack - I've noticed that you have often referred to this (the mike). I get a kick out of it...and to me, you are the point person for keeping "the mike" alive.

Between DFM crapping out and the webio show going off
the air by the first of the year, it looks like the
Rodeo Vann franchise may become totally worthless!

Sun Times / Elliot Harris / Quick Hits was quick to promote this stupid adventure. I expect equal time and want to see some pub on its QUICK demise!

Does anyone know who signed up with the site...and what is being communicated them?

I love a good "train wreck".

Well, since North's "legal team" is heading off to prison, Mikey is going to have to find a new lawyer.
