If I didn't know any better I'd think that his USC wasn’t losers of 5 of the last 6 games that Caleb QB'd during his last season in college after reading the following comment.

Quote:
"This is my first time being part of something like this, of losing and this streak going, so I ask questions to the guys that may have lost a bunch of games in a row like this or had losing seasons," he told the media. "I ask them questions because the more knowledge that I have prepares me for the future if this ever comes close to something like this again.
"

That play where he scrambled around for fifteen seconds passing up open receiver after open receiver to then heave it blindly to the literally one guy who was fully covered was peak Caleb.

It's on brand though. He's a big bullshitter. "I'm a winner, have no clue what losing is like. So I'll ask all these losers how to handle it."

I also wish our QB considered himself to be a loser.

Funny how that most condescending of statements was conveniently overlooked by his "flock"

Yep. Caleb's overriding belief in himself has "powered" The Bears mightily towards a Top 5 pick. Rock on with your bad self Caleb!

In reality, it's not a bad situation to get a top 5 pick with Williams showing elite potential but being inconsistent.

What he is consistently "showing" is that he sucks ass and unless they cut bait with him and fast, they're screwed.

You've already said he deserves 3 years. Are you walking back yet another thing you said before?

It's obvious at this point that his floor is an average starting QB. He's got a lot to improve on but it's rare to have a rookie be so good you would just be happy with that performance going forward.

Brick the bit ain't working. You don't even have the guts to step out and predict where Caleb's next win will come from, yet you know that he possesses "elite potential". Ok sure pal.

What do you mean I don't have the guts? I don't know where I was even asked to do so.

They can beat the Lions and Seahawks at home. The Bears aren't very good so I would be surprised if they won another game.

He's never had to deal with losing, other than that time he dealt with losing.

"Yap yap yap" yapped Caleb Williams.

Yep. Lost 5 of his last 6 games as a college player. But losing is an altogether "new experience" for him

You are forgetting to not count all the good things Williams had done this year and only count the bad things he has done this year. Then, it isn't really close between them.

yes, really

Sure, taken at the most basic face value. But yeah its not really appropriate to compare literally the worst first-half quarterback in NFL history to the ROY.

both halves count. Everything counts. Until they don't, yeah, it's really appropriate to compare. Sorry that is inconvenient to your argument. It sounds like what people used to say about Cousins.

The passing numbers for your OROY are nearly identical to the guy you call a bust.

You can’t just start every fourth quarter down multiple scores. It won’t work. There has to be a path here to winning games and with Caleb Williams there is none foreseeable.

Flus was losing first quarters well before Williams arrived.

Some of you act like an early double digit deficit is garbage time. Those type of leads get eliminated all the time. I want leads but it's also a good trait to bring a team back.

Stats only count when you’re leading by at least 4 in the first 20 minutes of the game and the team you’re playing has the best defense in the league and zero players are injured on that defense and that team has double digit wins.

When Jayden Daniels was the same age Caleb Williams is right now he wasn't even considered an NFL prospect. A fringe day 3/UDFA guy. It's disingenuous to compare the two.

Maye will probably be the best QB from this class and unfortunately it is fair to compare him and Caleb, from their experience to their current incompetent organizations. Caleb does not compare very favorably.

Rookie year QB production mostly doesn't matter. CJ Stroud had one of the best rookie QB years of all time and he's putting up the same numbers as Williams this year.

Brick Caleb Williams is the QB of one of the worst 3 offenses in the NFL currently. And one of the reasons that it is one of the worst is because he's the QB.

Yesterday was the 5th time this season (in 14 games) that the Bears have been shutout at halftime. The "well he's just a Rookie and that's to be expected yarn is getting old. After awhile you are what you are as a player. And he's vastly approaching that

I'm sorry. I thought the way to judge a QB was based on touchdowns thrown. Why did that suddenly go away and instead become "Team points in the first half"?

I'm sorry that the point I've been consistent on since (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was here is bothersome to you. The best thing you ever said was that you have to give Williams 3 years.
