I loved the D in the Seattle game. Solid against the run and pass with a lot of pressure. If that’s what we get going forward then I’m fully on board. That said, the interior pass defense was atrocious in the Lions game (which was just over a week ago). Maybe Cooper fixes that as he was fantastic. I need to see it consistently against the better teams to be convinced though. To be clear - Hafley is a big improvement over Barry. I’m not arguing otherwise.

I think it's quite literally the most improvement in one year that one could have reasonably expected to see. Not sure how you can give Hafley any grade other than A+ so far. Defensive performance has a lot more variance year to year than offense and it's hard to sustain but they look to be set up to be even better next year given their increased cap flexibility going into this offseason.

J Fields is still better than that bum. And you can continue to push him as an "elite" QB but the fact is he really isn't. 3rd place team in a division with 2 castoffs at QB leading the division.

Fields will be starting on someone's squad next year and then we can have this discussion. In the meantime have fun watching that int machine throw interceptions in critical situations why don't ya?

Fields is a backup, he's no more relevant than Tyrod Taylor or Mitch (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. Any discussion of the best QB's in the league necessarily excludes him, because he's a backup.

But yeah the numbers and eye test both agree Love is an elite QB by any measure.

But that is just not reality and to claim that Fields is better than him is just dumb.

So the last 8 games last year were very critical and he threw 1 interception. The last 4 games when the season starts to take shape, zero interceptions.

Well yeah Hurts and Russ are pretty mediocre, I think most people agree with that. Hurts own WR has criticized his play this year and the Broncos are paying Russ 50 million to not play for them. Mahomes and Stafford are having down years for sure.
