if Lebron was capable of guarding Dirk than maybe the 2011 Finals go a different way. But the Heat had nobody that could slow him down, meanwhile Shawn Marion completely locked up Lebron. I don't recall Jordan getting locked up in an NBA Finals series.

 JORR never even watched that series. He just likes to throw out names and dream it into existence! I bet Lebron guarded Magic and Bird too.

It's not Lebron's fault, he was 40 during the 2011 Finals

LeBron isn't guarding Duncan in that first clip. I didn't even bother clicking the 2nd link since the 1st didn't show what you thought it showed.

He was not guarding Duncan in that clip, he gave some help on Duncan.

He was on Durant, but he sure did not do anything to slow him down

Just stop with this mess

I'm sorry you didn't have a poster of LeBron jamming that ball down Duncan's throat on your wall and instead you had MICHAEL JORDAN.

Duncan got away from his man and LeBron picked him up. How did that work out for Duncan?

how about instead of looking for some 30 sec clips of Lebron, you answer about the 2011 finals. That series alone destroys your argument. Lebron could not guard Dirk, he wanted no part of Dirk. If he was such a good defender at that point in his career why did that not happen? Instead Dirk pissed all over them the entire series and carried his team to a NBA championship and Lebron could do nothing to stop it on offense or on defense.

Look, I get it. Jordan is your hero. No one will ever be better in your eyes. I think that's great. I feel similarly about Bobby Knoop.

IOW you have nothing to say about the 2011 series where Lebron was exposed. Gotcha.

And I'm sorry you don't even know what guarding someone in basketball entails

Occasionally he did.

But let's be clear. I'm not a fan of LeBron. I don't really care one way or another. It's just so obvious that Jordan is the childhood hero of you and many others that frequent this board and that prevents you from any fair and honest evaluation.

It's okay to have heroes. I don't hold it against you. I know you like Kyle Orton too.

Well he never did it well if he did. He really only ever shut down Rose.

As for my personal feelings, pretty much every award indicates that Jordan was superior. But I'm sure you'll tell me those don't matter either.

Lebron is what I would say a black version of Larry Bird namely a very talented offensive scorer but not a strong defender. If basketball were a two man game, I'd say that Bird and Jordan would be unbeatable against any other duo in the history of basketball. Lebron couldn't guard Dirk and he certainly couldn't Bird either and he certainly couldn't win a match-up with Jordan while Bird could switch off his man and present some problems to Lebron with his size and length.

Fun Fact: The guy who runs Super 70s Sports grew up in Chicago. He had (has?) a poster of Jordan on his bedroom wall. He wants to Be Like Mike.

Fun fact: JORR wants nothing to do 2011 finals or Jordans stats that Lebron cannot touch.
