I did not listen to Murph often. But in that time period, there was a place for a show like that. And there was some childish, yet marginally funny things, that he did. He had that Tool of the Week segment. And I recall him referring to Jim Rigglemon as Riggleamortis. That stupid crap appealed to me.

On a unrelated note, Thomas Brown praise reminds me of politicians, when sick with Covid, tweeting out they were ok because they have been vaccinated. I don't think a Chicago media person can mention Thomas Brown without having to first let everyone know that they thought Brown was put in a tough situation but handled himself well..before getting to their actual point.

polinsky mused that maybe brown had saved his job with an 'eloquent' defense of....etc and etc....packer post game speech that woke the ghosts of lincoln and jefferson...she asked haugh if brown may have potentially saved his job and be a viable candidate as the next head coach.

I've heard most of it now. I stand by my original comments. They're just going to jump in, outraged every 3 minutes whether it's justified or not and pretend to not understand what Poles is saying.

The Bears deserve to be criticized, just do it for the reasons that matter.

I've started listening and it just feels too much like staged outrage.

Poles says he has a strong relationship with Warren, works with him daily and says that many of the rumors he has heard are untrue.

All 3 are outraged and pretend that they don't know who has said that they don't work daily together when, to me, it was clear, Poles was referring to the overall relationship of which has been a constant theme, including on this show.

I'm sure I will agree with some of their outrage, maybe even most, but when you go into these looking to yell and nitpick, it comes off to me as just fake outrage to be upset.

Despite every team announcing on X that they have interviewed a coach, regardless of race, Dan Bernstein (with both Leila and Harris agreeing) accused the Patriots (and others) of being racist by announcing when they have completed interviewing minority candidates. He did this 2x in the first hour of the show today.
