How has the Caleb prank text with a fake Ben Johnson not made it on here yet? The casual and unprofessional way he responded to the text he thought was from Ben Johnson fits perfectly with his personality profile.

There’s way more fake in that text than Ben Johnson

They wouldn't listen to me. Caleb Williams had a number of red flags that the Bear was unwilling to see.

The text thing suggests he’s a naive 23yr old who was overly excited about a new head coach.

That’s almost the exact opposite of the wrap on him from even his most emotionally invested haters.

You should make the thread. I need a new meme about QB text etiquette.

We are in a strange land when the media can claim a black guy isn't a good qb because he is lazy and the opinion is supported by black fans

Jaden Daniels looked like a killer in his 1st playoff game. No sulking, no shaking his head, no disengagement. Only murder was on his mind. Commit murder and then act like it's eating a ham sandwich.

About a 65% chance we picked the wrong guy.

Nah his leg will be broke soon and then he'll suck.

The guy can throw. The transition from putting his life on the line to being repeatable arm talent might not be all that difficult.

Guys are going to be a lot less open when the entire defense isn't more worried about him running though.

Yep. He's better than "Generational Caleb" in every passing category.

This is why I love this nickname. Stop making me make such simple arguments if you don't want simple arguments.

So when do you expect "Generational Caleb" to be the better player? Because currently he's nowhere near Jayden Daniels. "Repeatable Arm Action" or not.

Plenty of people worry about plenty of not shy runners who also fire the ball well. I get that he may not have the frame to be Lamar or Josh, but he has the frame to be Patrick.

If Daniels can stay healthy he will end up the better player. Both will be very good though and that's ok if that is how it works out.

It is sad. Caleb is not accepted by black culture because he wears nail polish and cries. Maybe, if he fired a gun at the Packers bus and ran from a car crash because he was drunk coming from a club at 2:00am; he would be more accepted.

He probably shouldn't do that then. Or maybe get Obama to give them a sermon on their thought crimes.

I was very wrong about him. Thought he was mostly a product of Nabers and BTJ at LSU with him having such a late college breakout. I would still have some concerns about his durability but he looks like a superstar.

...and could have had Daniels plus two 1st round picks.

Even with Poles being in charge of the draft, he may have hit on one of those other 1st rounders.

That is the move of a based and GOATed QB.

watching caleb this year there just was zero progress. i'm not a draftnik. Per experts, caleb was a generational talent.... but his college highlights there was a lot of freelancing plays... that worried me at the time but i brushed that aside because he was a consensus generational prospect.

this whole season he didnt know what to do with the ball. so he held it and i lost my voice screaming throw it, throw it, throw it every passing play.

there's a very real chance, perhaps more likely than not, that he is a bust. these incompetent coaches did him no favors.... not emphasizing footwork and fundamentals is criminal.

Yeah let’s blame black culture for people being annoyed with him prancing around like a fairy. It’d be one thing if he didn’t suck.

not sure if this has been mentioned, but Caleb avoided 50 sacks this season. Lamar Jackson was the next closest with 26 avoided sacks.
