netflix show about a woman with a past and her son moving to Utah, ostensibly to live with the boy's father. Set in 1857. Frenchies, Thieves, Mormons, Indians, Good American Soldiers, Sidewinders and probably some gay cowboys all battling to make their fortune in a lawless land.

Very violent. Some scenes are great and probably would have been better on the big screen. Visually stimulating and so it is enjoyable to watch.

I'm not far enough along to tell if the story is anything but run of the mill. The one thing that is interesting is that they have many seemingly girlboss story lines that are completely anachronistic, but each of the women step in it so badly that it seems like the writer is actually subverting the expectation.

I'm half way through and its good enough to stick with it until the end.

Started watching this and it is ok. Only three episodes in so hopefully it picks up on the story telling. Very cookie cutter Oregon Trailish theme.

If you have the time and Paramount Plus account watch 1883 (Yellowstone spinoff) This was the best series I have seen in a long time. Liked it more than Yellowstone for the story and presentation.

I am through two episodes. The mother/son characters are annoying. The lady is an idiot and should be dead already.

It is 3 out of 5 stars so far.

The only likeable character so far is the old guy that runs the fort. Everyone else I want dead.

Maybe keep the indian girl who is helping the mother/son. She got some balls on her.

I would recommend watching 1883. You don't need to watch Yellowstone to enjoy it and it's just a very good standalone story.

I need to see that and American Primeval both.

1923 was awful. Was disappointed that they went Godfather/Sopranos with the series.
