I disagree. 1st while I respect Tomlin he’s not that far from McCarthy and he’s also not an offensive minded coach so he wouldn’t be any higher on my list than McCarthy.


2nd.. having to trade away multiple high valuable picks for a guy who’s not much different than another guy you could probably sign without giving up any picks is a dumb move. Especially for a team that can’t afford to trade away those picks.


3rd.. indecision has lead to what we’ve seen from the Bears so far. They didn’t begin the process early after firing Eberflus by bringing in candidates that weren’t working or even try to satisfy the Rooney rule so they could be ready to make serious offers to a candidate they have serious competition for. You can sit back and hope they’re doing their do diligence all you want to but after watching this group fail and make the wrong decision time and again I’m viewing it thru a different lens. My guess is that they still don’t know who they want and haven’t zeroed in on a handful of the right candidates yet. Something they could have been further along with if they’d done this correct from the start.
