I'm still not totally convinced this isn't just a deeper parody than "Crashmore" as a trailer. But apparently it's a real movie.

The fact that Paul Rudd is also starring as the friend, and the praise already applied to the film compares it to "i love you, man", is puzzling. is it making fun of bromance movies? or does it have some dark twist that turns it into some maniacal dark comedy?

It looks like this was probably a sketch that they just stretched into a feature length film. i mean, his line about the next marvel movie is so right out of an "i think you should leave" skit.
