I don't even understand this take from him. Obviously, another ridiculous one, but what he is upset about? That tariff's are being threatened on Canada? That they may become the 51st state? Why would any of this lead you to rooting against the US in a sport you don't even care about?

if his family had emigrated from poland to canada instead of the usa, he'd hate on canada. look how canada, as a member of the commonwealth and a nation, treated it's indigenous indian and eskimo tribes. this nation is too white. if his family had emigrated from belarus to england, he'd hate on england. look how england colonized much of the world. this nation has no cuisine culture, dog food.

Sports are entertainment, cheer for whoever entertains you. I didn't watch the game and didn't care who won, but I can say with 100% certainly that the US losing has been the far more entertaining result.
