Third round is way too early to take a "redshirt" guy, but your post does point to the startling lack of self-awareness we saw from Poles last off season, how else can you explain the 3rd and 4th round picks?

We certainly learned he does not have the feet to play LT, maybe they get him on the Thayer "NFL level conditioning" program and in a few years, he can play guard or back up your RT.

Poles thought this team was ready to win and contend. He was wrong. It seems crazy to draft a guy in the 3rd round who you have no intention of playing. A year later, I'm not even sure he's considered an answer to this OL even with all of the issues. He's probably a backup, at best, next season.

we know nothing about amigadije

I wouldn't rely on him or rule him out. No matter, we MUST get better across IOL. Money needs to be spent both in FA and draft.

We know he had a brief guest role as a turnstile mid-season and that he couldn’t find the field when they were down to third string guys.

He'll be on the roster, but, so far, he's been projected as a LT. Braxton Jones is under contract for next season for $3.3M and is probably the LT unless they draft a LT early in the draft. If they do that, can Jones play inside? Is he a swing OT? Same questions on Kiram? Is he the swing tackle next season? If they draft a LT early, what does that say about Kiram's future? Again, it would be shocking if he's not on the roster, but there's realistic scenario's where he's the last OL on the roster.

We know he had an injury that would have been virtually impossible to rehab and build back to NFL strength in time to play this year.

I thought it’d have been rude for me to call him bad and injury prone.

Picking an odd hill to die on my friend, his feet are terrible, and how could Poles get an adequate read on a guy that he could not put through an NFL level evaluation, could see the 6th round or later, but not the third.

Did see they changes strength coaches, maybe they can get him in the weight room and build him into a swing tackle or guard. Ben Johnson likes large angry men on his offensive line, no more underwear olympic guys that look like Tarzan but play like Jane, but then again, even Jane would be quicker off the line than amigadije, and would know what she was supposed to do on each play.

Poles needs to cut the shit with the projects and injured players. Draft guys who have great tape and look good actually playing football who don’t come pre-injured. Hopefully Ben Johnson has a big voice with this stuff and isn’t a pre-injured project guy too.

Skattebo just confirmed the Bears are 1 of 9 teams that he's had a formal interview with so far.

updated biggest need is now a pass rusher, which is the strength of this draft (along with RB)

still need to keep drafting OL in every single draft

he had a hell of a bowl game, but is he actually a draftable prospect?
