I could see it being Spiegel. Above all other moral stances, Spiegel is a radio institutionalist (Holmes is this way too).

Nobody yelled at her. Also, she doesn't have close to 400 subscribers. She's already done the math and 45K is what she can live with putting out there. It's salesmanship without it being completely embarrassing.

She made plenty on the book so don't feel too bad.

I could see it being Larry, Meatpants or Parkins. BUt I am also sure she is exaggerating things. They probably did not scream at her, but she is doing her over dramatic thing to make people feel sorry for her. She was truly awful on the radio and I am sure she is pretty much awful at everything she does. And it is always someone else's fault. She reminds me of a coworker I have here at our school. She is awful at everything. Never where she is supposed to be. Never on time. And it is always everyone elses fault. The school is not bringing her back next year because she would then be tenured. And she is trying to raise a big stink about it, but no one buys into because everyone knows she is awful.

I'm sure she had a timely enough pitch and a sympathetic enough ear to have gotten a modest advance for a first-time author. I doubt she came close to covering it and for that reason there will not be a second book. Remember, the whole story of her media career is that like-minded colleagues continuously reward her for having correct thoughts and then it gradually sputters out from there.

I am a subscriber and pay nothing. I get a few emails a week. It’s mostly woke SJW crap, some involving sports and lots of it not.

I will say there is a modest amount of effort going into those.

We spent years doing foster care and early on we learned that DCFS is not really allowed to tell us a whole lot but there is a loophole.....court. being the guardian of these children we were allowed to attend the court hearings. and oh boy did we. you would see some doozies of attorneys acting as court appointed attorneys. Its a bit different, they are largely representing morons so they didn't have a ton to work with but there was this one lady who was always representing parents and always was getting stuff wrong or misfiling this or that. she was also fat and seemed unpleasant so whenever Julie talks about being a lawyer thats the lady that I think about.

This lady misfiled something and parents were supposed to get their kid back (who we had) the early part of december, just in time for Christmas but they had to do a continuance and the family didn't get their kid back until end of January. (We arranged for the kid to spend christmas eve and christmas with them anyway)
