Interesting interview with Steve Stone on ITC taking thinly veiled shots and praising talking on both sides of his mouth.

hard to believe that Sox fan sjboyd STILL hasn't checked into this thread.

Not even for Antioch's hilarious first post.

both teams went into the series 2-4.

Here was their chance to get a leg up on the Tigers and instead they're 3 back.

Same.

What happened to Frank Costanza?

He ran and hid last year when the Sox played like a AA team. I'm sure he will be back when the 1,2,3,4, 5th rebuild is done.

The Braves are sending Jared Kelenec out to LF because Profar got busted for PEDs. They started the season 0-7. They should be trading for Robert immediately.

Yep. A team with little talent is bad. Shocking.....

"It's early", "small sample size", etc., but out of the top 10 players in AB's, 7 of them are batting .200 or lower.

And Katz is going to turn a pile of shit into a bigger pile of shit. Any decent habits or traits the pitchers have are remnants of the minor league coaching or their previous team. He must have a contract they cannot get out from.

9 games in, and already the worst team in the AL. They are consistent, if nothing else.

At least we were better than the Cubs for a few days. Nobody can ever take that away from us.

Their supposedly best players - Robert and Vaughn - continue to be bad.

Bentitendi has actually been good, but now injured.

Who else can they count on offensively?

The bullpen looks like it did last season - a complete mess.

The starting rotation has guys who can probably be lower end starters, but there's no above average talent in the rotation.

This is likely going to be very very bad until/if they get contributions from minor leaguers and there's no reason to rush them here.

The team is much worse than last season without Fedde and Crochet.

An entertaining bottom of the 9th with Clevinger unable to get the ball over the plate walking in the winning run.

Ten games. Lost two 1-0 games and two other one-run games. That, apart from blowouts, will be the MO of this season

New rule. Throw strikes or bye bye. I mean, what's the point of being in last and giving up the most walks in MLB again? It's the easiest adjustment for a terrible team. What are you worried about? Losing?

I have no idea why Clevinger is here. Katz must like him, which is reason on its own to fire Katz. I have no idea why Katz is here, either. THAT'S the guy who survives the coaching purge?

My expectations for the season were zero, even below zero, if that's some quantum math possibility. Just look at the names on the roster. That's not an MLB level team.

I went to opening day out of tradition, and for the free tacos during the tailgate. Haven't watched, or listened on the radio, to one pitch since. There are a few bobble heads/giveaways that my daughter would like. I'll buy them on ebay and come out way ahead.

Yep....said prior to the season. On paper this team is worse than last year. Somehow, they will back themselves into 52 wins and claim they improved

He was a HS pitching coach. You know what a HS pitching coach's biggest problem is? Command. So I'm surprised a guy who's dealt with this existential problem has this existential problem, and from his start here, in the big leagues. I've fixed command problems between innings. I've fixed command problems in 8 warm up pitches before the inning. So when I say command isn't that hard, it really isn't that hard. Humiliate Clevinger with drills for 10 year olds. There is nothing, and I mean NOTHING worse than losing a ballgame because a guy can't throw it 60 ft. Somebody should bust that tablet over Katz' head.

I was kind of hoping that the bullpen would be better than last year just because relievers are fickle beasts. I don't think that's going to be the case.
