I think it is a good gamble for the Browns. They suck. It is their last pick in this draft. Roll the dice. Maybe he ends up good. If not, it was a 5th round pick.

The pick itself is fine. They drafted a QB in the third round though.

Can he go back to college somewhere else and grow up?

UFL. And it’s not as crazy as you’d think. I thought it was impossible for him to go undrafted but now I’m not so sure.

Procedurally, they are going to have to expose one of their two drafted qb to get him on the practice squad, unless they roster 3 qb on game day or cut all the vets.

That will give the qb a chance to sign with anyone.

Of course it was the Browns taking their second quarterback of the draft.

If you don’t have a quarterback, you better do whatever possible to get one.

Gabriel is going to suck. Shanders should overtake him pretty quickly, but both are probably worse than Flacco.

Either way I like the pick. If he has half the balls he pretends to have, he’ll be playing with the largest chip in history on his shoulder. A guy with that ego publicly humiliated that badly?

Did Sanders say he didn't want to be on one of the bad teams?

No choice. Good teams have a good QB. College QBs have to go to bad teams.

Getting embarrassed like this might actually be a good thing for him in the long run. He will also be eligible to be tagged/free agent after 4 instead of 5 years if he does end up being good.

I would have agreed if it were the second or third round but at this point he is being deliberately humiliated by the league. There’s no spinning this one as a positive, he fell past Dillon Gabriel.

I am not sure how a league that drafts people of horrible character on yearly basis draws the line at Sanders?

Because guys like Jalen Carter are actually good.

I thought the Cowboys might take him in the 4th as a favor to his father.

You keep Flacco and the 2 rookies.
