Interesting play. ND likes to move the ball I know but can Indiana score enough buckets to get to 50?

two more for monday night...

727/728 San Francisco-Santa Barbara OVER 137
Rex Walters is now coaching USF. Look at the pace of his FLorida Atlantic teams and the first few games for the Dons....

765/766 Boise-Montana State UNDER 154.5
They may want to play kinda fast, but making a sufficient number of hoops is another matter entirely.

Projected score of IU game: ND 81, IU 66

I know Chus, thanks. I got some 136.5 and 136 on that one. I usually post my plays at the most widely available number, not necessarily the best number. I actually buy most of my plays at better prices than I post because as soon as I buy them, they usually go up in at least two places.

ND is moving as we speak after I just gave it out...the others will move a little for the next hour and then move major at 4:30 per my usual week day schedule..

ouch. I don't recommend buying at 5 points higher than the number i give out. usually i will post in plenty of time before the line moves. if you're not able to play it at the number or within a point or two, i will suggest not playing them.

Lesson learned.

You know I invest through a more traditional brokerage paradigm. By the time I hear the number, I will just have to assume that all value has been rendered.

I'll just have to enjoy vicariously through eveyone else.

gd, that may be true for week days, but you still have the opportunity to check in here on saturday and sunday mornings between around 10 am...and then early afternoon for the evening games. i went 6-3 last weekend. hopefully i can keep to that kind of performance in the handful of weekends up through new years anyway. after conference season starts, things will get a bit tighter with totals...

i've been in dc all day today (one of those "take the 6 am flight out of ohare and the 6 pm flight coming back" days). haven't had a chance to monitor the lines. llooking at the games now from the lovely lounge at National Airport, I see the two plays i would have made (iowa under 138 and commonwealth under 142) are long gone.

no action tonight

Friday Night Total
Season: 15-5, +10.5

Marquette-Northern Iowa OVER 141
SOmebody hit this down from the opening 148. I think the opener was the right number. UNI is not playing deliberately as in past years...to wit their 70+ possession games vs UIC and Chicago State. Marquette is one of the top five pace teams and will push pace into the upper 70s if they have their way. Both teams averaging better than 1 point per possession.

Another 6 point middling opportunity, now that the total is up to 142.5

wow are those teams bad. sorry about that. sometimes these kids just throw up nights like that which are so far out of the norm. Nights like that will happen betting this sport. Fortunately, they play to form more often than not...

No need to apologize for anything. Anyone following your picks knows that they are not going to hit 100%. If I hit the submit button, it is on me, not you.

15-7 on totals here. Time to get back on the winning track.

743/744 So. Miss-South Alabama UNDER 143.5
These teams are averaging 134 possessions and the only time either has had outstanding offense above 1 point per possession was when they were playing really bad teams, and the only times they have had bad defense significantly above 1 point per possession was when they were playing really good teams. Two pretty even teams will hopefully beget a grinder.

I will give this one out at 4:15 to the group and then at 4:30 to the market. Look for it to move down after that (unless someone hits the other side).

The total is dropping quicker than Pappy's career.

Wednesday 12/3
Rare that I play three games in one night, but doing it tonight.

537/538 Richmond-Old Dominion under 132-1/2
An old fashioned grinder in Virginia.

543/544 Georgia Tech-Penn State Over 143.5
Should be fast.

555/556 Illinois Chicago-Vanderbilt over 134-1/2
Back to the well with the fast Flames over. Should be a good game to watch three point shooting.

Good picks. UIC was hitting their threes, but Vandy struggled going only 4 for 24.

Yeah, it's rare to lose an over because the home team, a 10 point favorite, performed way below expectations.

2-1 on Wednesday, 17-9 for the season. Full card today.
