I said you pick it up Valance.

Another classic line(different movie): I'm not gonna hit him, the hell I'm not! (pow winchester cross face)

I also think that Valance is the only movie that Wayne used the word "pilgrim" as a means to address someone.

Although, most impressionists then made it seem like he said it every movie.

it is the only one he said it in that I know of. Man does he play a great character in that movie...sorry for missing the reference. The school scenes are funny too in that movie, but the best is the debate...

Judge Smails is an all time personal favorite but don't know if he could make a list like this.

Rankings galore!!

My ranking of scenes within Liberty Valance -

1. The Dinner Scene - the highlight of the movie. Marvin/Wayne/Stewart matched in battle of wills. "I said you, Valance. You pick it up." Might be my favorite scene ever.
2. Wayne and Stewart in the office at the debate hall.
3. Train scene at the end. "Nothing's too good for the man who shot Liberty Valance."
4. Stewart with the newspaper dudes (beginning and end). "When the legend becomes fact, print the legend."

Number 4 is one of my all time fav quotes up there with
There are heroes and legends. Heroes are remembered but legends never die

I'd recommend the movie to you but there are no drunken, wildly promiscuous, public sex scenes that you would enjoy.

If you want to talk about great musical moments, Kim Jong Il singing "I'm so Ronery" in Team America: World Police.
