I know that is not saying much for a team below .500. But this guy has had a great year. He started the year as one of the league's best 3 point guys. He hit a little slump. But the last 20 games he has been great. He's like an 18 point 10 rebound guy recently. He plays hard defense. Dunks out of half court sets are rare in the NBA. Nocioni has had his fair share this year. For a 6'8 guy who can't jump that is pretty good. He gets these dunks because his cuts and curls are precise out of the half court sets and he goes hard to the rim. If we make the playoffs he is the main reason.

Beardown, could'mt agree more with you.

I really think the Bulls have the wrong guy locked up so it only makes sense to get the right guy locked up for this team. Andres Nocioni has been the best overall player on this team. He's a guy that can actually score for the Bulls and consistenly goes out there every night giving it his all. He's fearless and one of the few guys on this team that will drive to the hoop which is why the Bulls win any games that they do. I know he's 26 already, but I feel he will continue to develop into a great player and maybe an All-Star someday. Every player should be following his example and maybe a contract extension for rewarding a player for doing exactly what needs to be done is what this Bulls team needs to do. I believe they sent the wrong message with Chandler. Send the right message with Noch.

He's a decent spare part, but listen to B&B if you want a dead on evaluation of Noc

I agree that Deng has a ton of upside and will have a very good NBA career. Remember when he was coming out Bernstein was telling everyone that he'd take Deng with the #1 pick overall.

What a moron. Deng is excellent but Dwight Howard is a much better player.

Plus Danny was crying on Tuesday or Thursday that Deng wasn't athletic enough to really succeed at SF, and that all the good teams in the NBA had super-athletic SFs. Then he cited Tayshaun Prince as one of these premier, uberathletic small forwards. Does he watch the NBA? Has he seen Tayshaun play?

If you listen to Pax and Skiles and also watch the games yourself you could see Deng has the biggest upside of any of the Bulls players.

Oh, I agree. I was just irritated with Danny whining about Deng's athleticism (which is good enough for his style of game IMO) and praising Tayshaun's.

BTW, anyone see what Howard did yesterday? 28 and 26? That kid's going to be a beast.

After watching most all the games the last two weeks or so, Nocioni is a hardnosed tough SOB. He takes a beating every night and never backs down. He maximizes his minimal talent. That's what I like about this team, they never quit. You can appreciate that. They are usually the least talented team on the floor, but are rarely out hustled. Kudos to Skiles, Pax and the players.

Put 25 pounds on Nocioni and he would make a helluva tight end for the Bear.

He was unbelievable tonight. He has an awkward shot and i find myself telling him not to shoot, then doing the "oh shit it went in" comment after. I will say that if the Bulls expect or are counting on him to carry them in the playoffs, that will be a really really short series.

Yeah, they tried that last year and Chapu burned himself out in a game and a half.

It will be nice to finally see Deng get some playoff experience, and hopefully Gordon doesn't look so lost this time around.
