Your stint on the MNMS aside I always found you to be an easy listen and thought you did good work with Murph and on the updates and on the Bears pre-game show when you were there. It sucks that all of the original local voices are getting pushed out for more and more Sporting News Radio programming and syndicated Dan Patrick. At least your drops on B&B will still crack me up.

As for those who didn't like me on the MNMS or thought I was his lap dog...what was the name of the show? Me arguing with Mike on a daily basis would have been AWFUL radio, or radio worse than you guys thought it already was.

I agreed with Mike on a lot of those things, and those I didn't, I let him take his stand...again, it was his show.

With Murph it was Murph with Fred and then Murph and Fred...a little more balance there.

Sorry, I'm being mean. Look, I thought Fred was just fine with Murph, but his performance with Pappy was, well, what shall we say? Sad? Disappointing? The show desperately needed another voice to counteract North's stupidity and lack of class, but I wasn't hearing it from Mr. Frederico. Whatever, I don't know, I'm sure that whole debacle says much more about North than Fred, but in any case, thanks to Fred for checking in with us idiots at what I'm sure is not a totally pleasant time for him.

Fred, stay away from any more Mike North projects that make you look like a fool (in other words, ANY Mike North project) and I hope you land on your feet. I really do. I think you're better than that whole MNMS thing.

Fred, forgive the tone of these questions as I really did like your work with Murph.

1. It was fairly obvious to anyone who could hear that the Mike North Morning Fecal Fiasco was not good radio, with Buchman and Anne in key roles. When did you realize that this was poor radio, or are you of the opinion that this was a quality show?

2. If you thought it was a poor show, why didn't you try to get off it? [Or did you?]

3. What type of numbers did you and Murph draw in the mornings as compared to North's show?

Fred I never cared for you on the radio at all, but I never wished death upon you or anything like that. I just did not care for the way you acted on the radio. It did seem that you took your White Sox love and Cub bashing over the top. Thats something that I honestly feel has no place in radio at all. As for your stint on the Mike North Morning show, I thought you were a puppet basically that was a YES man to North and his stupid comments. I don't need that and I didnt care for that and would more times than not find myself punching the dial to 1000 or even turn the radio off all together. I understand it was his show, but you lost all respect in my book when you became little more than the update guy and the parrot repeating everything the blowhard Mike North said. Hopefully in your next job you will have your own thoughts and own feelings on subject matters rather than just repeat what the host says. Good luck to you.

Okay, there are too many questions to remember them all.

First, When the station decided to get rid of the Murph and Fred show, we were handly beating Mike and Mike. We did every ratings period except the one after the announcement.

When I started with North, I was just supposed to be the update guy, but after the first two days, Mike asked me to stay in the studio all the time. This was great for me, but I realized it was his show. It was billed as Mike with Anne Maxfield on news, but we knew Mike was THE guy. He was with Jiggetts, was with Buffone, that's the way it was.

We went back and forth with Mike and Mike...I made bonuses for finishing in the top 6 in the market in our demographic 4 or 5 times, so the show was working. A lot of you guys didn't like it, but it had listeners.

I don't hate kids...I wasn't blessed to have any of my own, but I have 15 nices and nephew, ranging in age from 23 to 7...and love them all.

What I dislike is the way people raise their kids nowadays. It's a personal opinion, but my parents were strick with me when I was a kid and I didn't dare scream in a restaurant, or run around in a grocery store. It's just a different way of thinking. To be honest, my wife disagrees with me on alot of these things.

As for rap, where do I begin...no need to swear throughout every song...I grew up in the age when people wrote music and played instruments, didn't scratch records and sample classics from the past. Sure I haven't given it a chance, but I'm 51...why do I have to start listening to rap.

I'm sure there is more I'll come up with later.

For the most part, everyone at the station treated me well, especially North. We had and still do have a great relationship. No matter what you think of him, he is an attention grabber.

fred, I respect the fact you came here and gave some insight on some of the questions here, even the ones that lacked some class.

I know it was the mike north show, pappy made the decisions, but bottom line, it failed. pappy can blame mgt all he wants, but pappy had the final say in everythingm so that's on him. do you think the fact that he blew off the fans by having almost no interaction with them hurt the show?

The one critical question about the MNMS is who decided to take the show to a general topics format. Basically every thought and complaint voiced on this board stems from that move and neither mike nor management has taken accountability.
