Heh, guilty as charged. That was gold the first time I found that "I'm stuck in my career" post he made.

I don't really care whodunnit at this point, I'm more curious about the tales of how employers are prying/spying on potential employees. Using your real name to call Bush a nazi makes sense to me, but I'm still scratching my head over a fake name on a message board. I suppose if it were your site, that would be different, but I don't see how anyone could ever link EG Greg to your real name as long as you never provided it here.

Cooler could probably help you out a little more, (on the computer forensic angle) but say your employer got wind of you posting using a fake name on some message board. This board would not qualify, however, lets say it was an anti abortion website. Somone at your company thinks they see you on it, or possibly you mention it in passing. There are guys who are computer forensic guys who can trace the IP back to the person using it even if not provided by the site administrator, it can be hacked into. It is extremely expensive, however, if you are libeling the company or people in it, it is well worth your money to make it stop. This however does not apply to job applicants, I was more referring to current employees. I would still be warry of your name being found on a google search or myspace.com, because it has become commenplace for all employers to check that stuff out and in turn pass you over for a job.

(i know this is old but...)
Upon further review I feel a lot better about my site out there than the myspace.com sites of Jen Jen and Rock...wow, some crazy shit.

When are you going to let someone from the board make a guest appearance?

Ha, next time I do a show I guess. Its been two weeks...been really busy. We've had a lot of traffic to our site lately because of the todd walker site I did. Subscriptions have gone up on iTunes but still awaiting to break top 100 podcasts. Working on doing a NFL Draft show this weekend. Nas, I need your NBA expertise for the show.

Greg, you're going to give the kid a complex. He may end up having to go see Mac's shrink.

Greg, do you realize how much work that is going to take? That would have to be a segment every single show. I don't know if you'd always be available with that spelling class you're taking at nights. I know the passion is there...I mean, you've showed it time and time again. I just question your availability.

No, they don't. And as a Silvy & Carmen fan, Ryan should be aware of this. Remember "The Hot Chick" or "Debate the Hot Chick" or whatever the hell they called it? That was probably the worst bit those two ever concocted.

Ryan, what type of program and device do you use to record because similar to you I do a show where we record through an extigy and then post our recordings on line through windows media encoder, do you use your computer, what do you exactly do?

First off I bought a mac mini and it was WELL worth the investment. Since I'm a Mac user, I use Garageband that has a kick ass setup for doing podcasts. Next, invest in good mics. Those crap ones you get with a computer are worthless. Go out and spend at least 40 bucks at Radioshack if you truly do want good quality. I can tell you that our shows sound a lot cleaner than a lot of crap on iTunes done by other amatuers because they use crap mics, which is fine. Finally iTunes grabs my RSS feed and puts my shows on their outlet. Pretty cool. We've got quite a few listeners and they get pissed at us if we don't do a show on a consistent basis...kinda funny. I'd say iTunes is the best way to get as many listeners as possible. Where do you put your shows at? I'd love to listen. My show is Sports Talk Underground which I mentioned before. Just type that in an iTunes search and it will come up. By all means, anyone on this board looking for some internet radio fun check us out and write us a review. A lot of our listeners don't review just e-mail us so it sucks to get an idea of where our star rating is at. Hope this helps OG. I can't believe you've dropped as far as internet radio now...well, yea I can.

One more thing...to anyone interested in trying out a listen, I suggest waiting for our show on Saturday. I'll have it up on iTunes Sunday. Our last general show was ok, but we just don't know our NBA as good as we should. Really might have to work on a deal with Nas. We did draft shows right before that.

Currently we are off line. We are looking into how to make the show sound better and I think you helped us and we are going to look into Podcasting. You definately gave us some good advice.

Ryan, let me know on the NBA..I like to fancy myself an erstwhile NBA follower, and I keep a fairly close tab on things with pro hoops as much as I can these days.
