I must have missed something...who is spaceball?

Spaceball is a guy who was someone years and years ago.

Show is clear, I listen to the podcast more then live, but the sound is like listening to a radio station. Times I have listened, havent heard him swear yet.

so when does this webio show of his end?

Not soon enough.

If I'm guessing the webio's end, it's this Friday , unless Mike wants to work Xmas week.

He can always run "Best Of" shows for a while. I'm sure jen jen can throw plenty of those shows together.

Amazing how two of the greatest opportunities in the world for the mike, web radio and his passion for sports gambling, have both ended in less than 6 months.



The guy is a joke. I guess he found out there is no money in web radio and don'tbetme.com. I'm sure the TV deal will just as lucrative.

In typical North fashion, he played this wrong. I think he would have had a following if he had a weekly web show devoted to picks. He might have even been able to squeeze his way into a paying gig on one of the regular weekend morning infomercial picks shows.

In reading the sun Times article on the TV show, it seem to me that North knew he was gone - and it seems that maybe those dollars weren't there - or at lot less than was reported. He was already taking a TV production deal with Comcast well before he left, and the structure was similar to the one he did when he had the TV show with Jiggs years ago( buying time).

The risk is limited on Comcast's end - but you have to think that given North's dismal track record on TV ( Jiggs North 1; CLTV, the interview show, etc), that there isn't much reward in this venture.

I wonder how Wildfire is handling the massive increase in business they must have from sponsoring North's webio show.
