I can't bring myself to listen - it will just be too emotional , like the last show of MASH, so I ask Rodeo to update us all of this - I believe he has become numb and won't let this emotional tribute, star ladden show get to him.

I will do recap tonight if I can fight through the sorrow of yet another death of one of pappys life long dreams

I think a fitting last show would be Pappy farting favorite Christmas carols for the entire time...

Don't get me wrong. This web thing was nothing. But of course he's gonna give this up to do TV.

So he isn't leaving to pursue his lifelong dream of playing bucket drums on street corners for change?

If this was a successful pioneering idea that he has developed, then why would he be giving it up? I understand that with the Comcast, he'll be busier, but if this is such a great idea that has changed the radio/web landscape (as he claims), it sounds like a big mistake to get rid of this.

I believe that's dream #10...he's working on dream #4 right now. Give the man some time...

I suppose he could do both but he realizes that there is no money in this web thing so why bother?

The webbio thing was a holding place - this was, in North's words, in the works since last January, way before he got let go form the Score - yes, he has to devote time to the TV show, but all the bs about this dream, that dream and the latest innovation are smoke screens and lies - all part of North's personality.

Come to think of it, isn't North's whole career a smoke screen? A loud mouth from the end of the bar is found out to be... the loud mouth at the end of the bar (juice bar in his case since he doesn't drink anymore)

On the contrary. The web will reach new heights of popularity now that the great media genius Mike North has opened the world's eyes to its uses and possibilities! Having conquered radio and the Internet, mastered the intricacies of both, and leaving them as more fertile grounds for those who follow him, there is no need for him to stick around there. A true genius must always seek new avenues to explore. Mike will now move on to television, another communications forum that has gone untapped and underused for its entire existence and he will dazzle mankind with his creativity, wit, and brilliance as he reshapes that medium. Dare I say, TV will never be the same after "Monsters of the Morning" hits the airwaves in January.

I went back and checked, on the first show, pappy did say this was going to only last till jan or so, the comcast deal didnt come along till 4 or 5 weeks later.

Wasn't that before Webio took off though and became the wave of the future?

I get everybodys point. Pappy does bullshit everything. He said it was his life-long dream to have a pro handicapping site. The webio thing was the wave of the future and he was going to be the leader.

Pappy doesn't beleive his own bullshit. His "yes men" and Jen act like they beleive his bullshit to feed his massive ego. In the case of Jen she also does it cuz Pappy is her ticket to staying in media in "nothing roles".
