I think is whole Vito Spattfore/homo angle has Tony Soprano on waterskis in Hawaii.

If you don't know what jumping the shark is, check out www.jumptheshark.com.

Any thoughts? I know it's not a movie, but this was something I wanted other people's opinions on and this was the best place.

I've definitely had enough of Vito. He needs to waddle off into the sunset. I don't need 6 more weeks of him antiquing. I'd love for Paulie to get his hands on him. That scene with Finn at Satriale's was classic.

I think overall this season's been great. Sunday can't come quick enough.

I don't think it's "jumping the shark" because it actually happened in 1992.

I agree. That scene with Paulie and Finn this week was fantastic. I must have rewound it 5 times and laughed my ass off each time.

Other than the coma / dream sequences, this has been a great season.

My favorite line of the episode was Phil Leotardo telling Vito's wife, "he's making a mockery of the sacrament." Hypocrisy at it's finest! Whacking a guy is all fine and good, but no cornholing, that's a sin!

Kind of like in the Godfather. When Michael is in the church at the baptism. He is renouncing the devil and evil while they cut away to his men killing the members of the other family's. I think we call that irony.

I think it jumped the shark from the moment Tony awoke from his coma and walked away from death's door. To me, the show reached its peak at that one individual moment. After that, it's all been gently gliding downhill.

Last night's episode was way more Artie than I care to see, but Christopher and Murmurs mugging Lauren Bacall more than made up for it. Fucking hilarious!!!

Yeah that is gonna happen obviously. I know its a show and you have to put your senses on hold but how that kid wandered into a halfway house to off is grandpa in front of 30 witnesses is just too fuckin unrealistic. Nobody is that stupid. I know, I know. Its just a show but cmon try to have some sort of a realistic plot.

I actually enjoy good storytelling and I'm ok with the not whacking somebody every episode shot, but it has been a rough couple of weeks here. This past episode was a complete waste of my time.

Last night's episode was the first time all season that I felt I had been cheated out of an hour of my life. Terrible.

Piss poor episode last night.

I do not want to see Vito ripping the shirt off of some guy in a field. Is that what the show's been reduced to?

It's gotten to a point where there are too many characters to squeeze all of their plot lines into a 53 minute show. It seems like it's flip flopping from week to week....Vito and AJ one week, Bobby and Paulie the next.

Tony Sirico needs more screen time.

More:
Uncle Junior
Paulie Walnuts
Chris Moltisanti, the mobster
Bobby Bacala
Silvio Dante
Phil Leotardo

Less:
AJ Soprano
Vito Spattafore
Chris Moltisanti, the screenwriter
Janice Bacala/Soprano

I think you it in on the head there. It almost seems like the producers want to showcase each supporting character for one episode at a time during the final run, but in doing so the overall storyline suffers. Thus, we're stuck following fragmented, bloated and unnecessary storylines about characters who don't always deserve so much screen time.
