Well, one thing you have to understand is, in the context of having thoughts, people will often try and say that there is a certain amount of subjectivity and objectivity that comes along with it. You can look at someone's stats and see what they bring on a day to day basis. When it comes to the game of baseball, you can also look at who belongs and who does not belong in the discussion of greatness. Obviously, as a Hall of Famer, I am there without question. Now there are some people, such as the Cubs second basemen who somehow is considered a Hall of Famer, but to me that could be subjective, even if the Hall of Fame itself is an objective institution. You could say there are people who share their thoughts who are on that level, with that second basemen, and they somehow think they can be in the same discussion with people who really are great, and it's a shame that can happen. This is not a perfect world, but in an imperfect world, The Red Machine existed, so there is at least the chance for greatness to exist.

It's just unfortunate that there is so mediocrity that exists in between.

I think one of the reasons that I've stopped reading/posting so much is that the number of posters has increased so much that there is too much to keep up with, so I don't try at all. I'm sure this is the case with some of the posters that actually have thoughts worth reading, too. I still enjoy the content. There's just a lot to keep up with.
