Sorry, I don't have anything against either Mulli or Hanley, but it is a very boring morning now with the North gang gone. I just can't get thru the fake laughter like Bob & Tom in the morning. Maybe some people did't like MN, but he was there from the beginning and helped make that station wat is was... yes was. It seems as if the station is on the "cheap" now. Anyway, AM1000 is right down the channel.
Bhuge, I'm sorry you don't care for "Mully & Hanley in the Morning". The two Sun-Times sportswriters, Mike Mulligan & Brian Hanley, are actually very good at what they do, and that's GENUINE CHICAGO SPORTS TALK every weekday morning. If you want shtick, complete with sound effects & "shock jock" material, listen to other morning shows down the dial or listen to the station's Web site on the Internet. When "M & H" took over morning drive, they made it clear that they weren't trying to reinvent the wheel, based on an article I think Ted Cox wrote in the Daily Herald. As for WSCR 670 being "on the cheap" now, I think you might be right. With the exception of Dan Hampton signing on Tuesday with Laurence Holmes, management has been very reluctant to spend CBS Radio's money on replacing hosts that don't cut it & seem to promote its hosts from within. By the way, watch this story carefully. I predict that 'SCR will soon break up "Boers & Bernstein" when Terry's deal expires soon, and Dan will have a new partner. You read it here first.
