Nirvana! Jeez, but that shit can't go away fast enough. Whiny, angst peddling pussy.

I will doubtless get pilloried for this, but Bob Dylan drives me nuts. His voice is nails on a chalkboard material for me. Great lyricist, but let me listen to covers before I hear his croaking, unintelligible rattletrap again.

I don't get Aerosmith. I don't hate it, I just don't get it. Same with the Rolling Stones.

Luckily for you K-thunk, I don't think there are a lot of Dylan fans out here.
I, on the other hand, happen to be one. I can see why you wouldn't enjoy
some versions of his material. Kind of depends on what years you are
talking about of course. His singing leaves a lot to be desired for many
and technically speaking he really isn't that great a musician either, although
he can play the harp pretty well. I have been digging much deeper into
some of his stuff and find it pretty compelling. I especially enjoy the
Bootleg series material, some of the songs are unreleased studio and live
versions and some are not included on any studio albums at all. Mostly
really good stuff although some is hit or miss. Last studio album was
pretty good and on some tracks has kind of a Leonard Cohen sound which
sounds creepy and pretty cool.

How in the hell has no one brought up NICKELBACK!?

They are everything that is wrong with music today. I can't stand Chad Kroeger's stupid-ass Scott Stapp Synthesizer type voice. Every fucking song sounds like it has the same exact tune except with different lyrics. They try to act all Rock, but they are just another pop band trying thinking they are the bad ass band. They absolutely blow. Everytime I hear this band I laugh my ass off at how ridiculous they sound.

Yes, Joe Perry is a great guitarist. Yes, "Get Your Wings", "Toys In the Attic", and "Rocks" are awesome, but God do I hate Steven Tyler and do I hate the absolute garbage that has been released under the name "Aerosmith" in the last 10 years of their career... so much, that "I can't stand Aerosmith".

You take that back right now!

After last nights after party, and Im not sure you can call this a band, Three 6 Mafia is in that group. Granted, I dont like rap, but I was vastly outvoted on music last night and Three 6 Mafia seemed to be the popular pick, with the Crowes as a much better but distant second.

Thinking back to some bands I wish I had never seen live (whether as an opener or the headliner)

Sugar - Bob Mould is great, but Sugar was not sweet.
Soul Asylum - they always got this great reputation as a live act - they were worse in concert since Dave Pirner thought it was cool to be absolutely drunk on stage the two times I saw them

I saw them back in 1993 twice. They did play Cartoon as well as all the other 'hits' Cartoon was alright but Pirner was about sloshed by then.

OK...so I was too lazy to look back in this thread to see if this was already suggested, but I really cannot stand whoever sings that "Ya had a bad day" song. :puker: :puker: :shaking: :shaking2:

I hate, and I do mean hate, Elton John. I would like to suggest that every song that flamboyant fuck ever recorded be struck (stricken?) from the record, no pun intended.

He's had a few good songs, but yes, he's put out more crap than worthy material. Not to mention he's a complete douchebag.

But if you ever get the chance to see John and Joel together, they do put on a good show. (I'm a Billy Joel fan myself)

No. No. No. No. No.

I would work for Gov. Rod before I would go see that...thing...in concert.
