Score: A very slow 3 months for sports in general…after the Bears loss in Jan there was really nothing to talk about…the Olympics did not help either..not did 15 spring training games in March….The Score and MVP both down considerably however we narrowed the gap 1.2 (Score) vs. a 1.3 (MVP)….in total both stations lost 33% of the inflated Fall shares of market…Good news….
Its now baseball season and the Sox will really help our cume…both teams doing well
We have received considerable press lately..the haircut promo was huge…
NFL draft this weekend
Bulls made playoffs
Stone back with Score
We are very close to MVP…should overtake them next book..

"confident we will improve" Good God you better or you'll be out of work Paul. Another fall like this one and it will only be family and friends listening, not that it's much better now.
How do you afford the jerkoff, North and his contract? Can't see many dollars falling to the bottom line.

Why isn't management from both stations troubled that they exist only as a parasite to the teams of this town. Does Rush Limbaugh lose his audience during non election years?

These stations need to aspire to something greater.

The Sox will help their ratings?

HAs he heard Farmer and Singleton???

I'm a Sox fan and I listen to Cubs games.

Farmer and Singleton will drive more away than a winning team in Spring and Summer will bring in. The Fall is another story with the Play-offs and all.

What would you suggest dolphin? It is a sports station. The whole premise of the MNMS was to branch out and draw a broader audience. How's that working out? Sportstalk radio is what it is.

How could it possibly surprise you that the ratings for a sports talk station are directly affected by the interest level of the general public in sports? I don't know about Rush specifically, but ratings for news oriented talk programming (both TV and radio) are certainly boosted when major news events occur.

I don't see Ron Santo as much of an improvement.

Wow, that's pathetic. I bet that haircut promo will propel you into first next book!

That comment alone almost makes you wonder if Reinsdorf staged this entire thing for press and ratings.

Sox will probably help them, but for myself, if I hear play by play on a sports talk station, i turn the dial.

You have talented hosts who draw in listeners because they are entertaining as well as sports minded. IIRC the SCORE had it's best ratings in years that the Bears were at their worst.
