He did have rants last week, but I listen so infrequently, that I had no idea that they were even gone. I don't understand how that is a good bit. Why wouldn't the listeners want to do their own ranting instead of hearing Mike rant???

He's under the mistaken impression that people are interested in his opinions.

Rants is supposed to show how brilliant and quick-witted North is.
"Under sixty seconds" is supposed to show how fast he can come up with these brilliant rants he invents.
The part I love the best is the shouting. Being loud proves his genius.

Once again, he has the rant bit all wrong too, basically it is what is wrong with the whole show.

Johnny B came back to chicago and kicked North's ass. Johnny doesn't do anything amazing, he lets the crazy people of Chicago drive the show, he just directs it.

Mike unfortunately for all of us, thinks h is funnier than most of the people that call. I am not talking about the people that call to be funny, I am talking about the Rustys of the world, or the Larry Horse calls, or the Maybe Mike North knows. Notice none of the very famous Score phone calls occurred during the Morning shows?

the one thing that made the score a great station in the past was it was a caller driven radio station. That's why they killed Coppock and made him leave the market. Nowadays, especially the north show, it's all about me me me the radio show personality. If i wanted that, I would just hire coppock, since he's better at that kind of job than mike north.

Also, North isn't special anymore, every market and national radio station has the 'regular guy' show on, ie JT THE BRICK.
