-Ok. I finally saw one of the girls that hands Mike a sheet of paper. It's pretty odd but the girl was cute. She beats you Jen. They said Linsey was sick today so it must be the other girl you guys had mentioned. She strides up to the set, pats Mike on the back and drops the paper in front of him. It's just a medical staffing read. Mike couild have it with him. Doesn't need to be brought to him. I guess they want to show off the girls. I guess I have no problem with that. It was kind of sensual to watch it.

-Jen hasn't done weather in the 1st 12 minutes. They've brought her in twice just to do small talk. Jen's wearing a black shirt today. Hair looks good.

-Jen did a good traffic read. Mike interupts to do samll talk. Jen just stands their awkwardly as Mike says something stupid. Doesn't look good. Jen tries to make a joke. Pulls the hair out of her face.

-Hawk Harrelson is coming up

-Jiggs is doing a good job. He seems like less of a boob on TV.

-Hawk is on the phone now.

(I've got to go. Somebody can take over)

Judging by what I've heard today, the show sounds much better. Mike doesn't look like such a goof, but they really need to do something about his earpiece. His constant fucking with it is really distracting.

Day 1 I tuned in for 30 minutes or so, to see what this goof was gonna have going on.
Day 2 I tuned in for 10 minutes, heard a joke about women with too much "cheese" and immediately flipped to 'GN.
Day 3 I tuned in, saw it was on commercial, switched and forgot about it until later.
Day 4 I'm too cold to look at a jerk in a t-shirt.

That show cant get worse than what I saw on day one. The ratings, good or bad, will drop when the newness of it ends. MIke cant draw new viewers. The only ones watching are his few fans and the NORT HATERS.

I caught another half hour of the show today. As a North hater, I'm disappointed. The show is not that bad. One piece of advice for Mike - keep Jiggs happy.

I think that the only thing that will stop this show from being a success is North's mammoth ego. These two had a great run back in the day. With the pathetic state of sportstalk radio in the mornings, Jigs and North have a chance to rekindle the fire (and da passion). North smartly (I can't believe I just typed that) is letting Jigs participate nearly equal. It's that give and take between the two that made them successful in the first place. Today's show made me cautiously optimistic. I was a big fan of North at one time, just not the last 5-7 years. I would never classify myself as a North "hater", and I don't spend my down time sticking pins in a little Mike North voodoo doll. Give me an entertaining show, and I'll watch. I must say though that the sponsor reads smack dab in the middle of a segment or interview are very annoying. Hopefully, they can find a way to rectify that.

I was actually able to see about 10 minutes today, including some Jen time. Everything was fine. It was OK.

I won't make any effort to watch it but it's there, I guess, if I'm ever sitting around my house in the morning and want to watch someone talk about local sports and Notre Dame High School. They play Peoria soon, I think.

Working at home today, so got my first real look at this.

It's not that it's over-the-top awful or anything, it's just boring. I see no need to tune in again. The two of them just sit there and make some pretty uninspired, uninteresting sports comments. Very bland.

What is the proper temperature for looking at a jerk in a t shirt?

When I first read it I thought it said that he was too cold to jerk in a t-shirt.

It doesn't surprise me that you find the white chick to be the only cute one and not the black (or possibly mixed/puerto rican) one.

If Panther's observations are accurate, Jen might want to start making contingency plans. It won't be long before Pappy taps a fresher, hotter talent. Jen's material on him better be solid.

It's most likely material he's left on her.

Saw about 10 minutes this morning, including three minutes of commercials. I enjoyed watching two Lectric Shave commercials within the same commercial break. Gotta get out there and sell some more advertising! Also finally heard the theme song and opening "skits" at around 8:00... it was good enough for them.

Oh, I should mention I also saw North talk about Eddie Curry's comments about his limo driver... they either had a mic go out our they censored The Pappster after he said "A jewish white ..." and then about two to three seconds of silence before they picked up the audio again.

I find it hilarious when the North defenders say the show "isnt that bad". But it is bad? Just not THAT bad. Has anyone came out and said the show is great? Anyone? IkeSouth? Dolphin? Mac? Bebe?

I think its pretty obvious. There will be no show in 2010.

If he keeps making the comments about the interns, this show won't make February.

I did find this exchange funny:

Jen: I need a shot.

Mike: Your boyfriend isn't here.

Reminds me of the days when he would tell her "The only way you're Italian is thru injection!"...

Yeah. I heard that. That was in the first half hour. I know what Pappy was trying to say but it didn't make sense. Nobody refers to banging someone as "a shot".

Anyway, the funny part is how Jen Jen is forced to laugh off these disgusting comments about her. She's put in such an awkward position. Poor Jen. She's trying to be a "big timel" TV women. Trying to be taken seriously. Trying to be charming and witty. Trying to find the right clothes. Trying to get the hair right. Trying to do clean reads. So much pressure. And she has this ass hole, that she's indebted to, making dirty jokes about her boyfriend banging her. Gotta take it cuz this ass hole got her this current job.

Maybe the reference was to a money shot.

Oh yeah. I stand corrected. Good one, Pappy - you sick son of a bitch. My mind didn't even go there. Wow. That's an even more disgusting thing Jen had to take from him. But sweet little Jen laughed off that "money shot" inuendo with such grace. What a pro. She'll be a network news anchor in no time.

I haven't watched the show but for a minute as I have been out of the house early this week. I really never watch TV in the morning so it is no indictment.

I will lay money that this show lasts into 2010.

I hope not to lose my "man card" for this statement. They just come back from commercial and the first thing they do is have one of their female interns head on camera and hand North a piece of paper which he promptly reads and it turns out to be a commercial. While I should be able to appreciate trying to work in eye candy into the broadcast, the obvious way it's done I find pretty transparent. If it were an email hot off the printer that would be one thing, but when its a premade commercial read, she could have given it to him during the break. It just screams, "Males!! Look!! Pretty girls, watch our show!! Plus, I just find it creepy to watch the flirting by a mid 50s male with the twenty-somethings.

Did anyone else hear Mikey say, "I feel like Jonathan Salk trying to invent the polio vaccine." Hey Einstein, it's Jonas Salk. Stick to the little that you do know, and quit waving that G.E.D around. Other than that, and the still irritating commercial reads, not bad today. And I wanna party with Crane Kenney. That guy looks like a barrel of laughs!
