actually a decent idea. now we'll hear about it nonstop from 6-10 through Friday, it'll be plugged all day on every show, in every commercial break. We'll have to hear about it for the next 6 weeks. Hopefully the Bookie Priest will take bets on who is going to win.

This stunt will bomb just like every other ill-conceived, half thought out idea he has. Either way, Mike will pat himself on the back ad nausem for doing it. I wouldn't even know about it if Doug didn't mention it during transistion with Murph. I'm sure, as I type, a promo is being recorded.

Dusty's old news in this town. Coop, Ozzie, A.J. should be involved in this for maximum pub.

Better yet, have it at Thillens. In that way it still involves the Cubs.

How about having it at Armour Park, in the shadows of the Cell in tribute to your broadcast partner. You could have Farmer announce.

Are the Cubs going to actually give the person a job or is this just for fun?

This needs some explaining. Dusty was bemoaning the fact that he doesn't have a lefty to throw batting practice. In typical Dusty fashion he said that day games are the reason because people work. Why that would matter if you have a full time employee is beyond me. Then he said maybe we can get some one here for night games after a guys done with work.

I laughed at the thought of a guy finishing up his day at work and then hustling over to wrigley pulling off his tie while driving and throwing on a Cubs uniform to make the 5:30 batting practice time. Dusty is insane.

Anyone listen to this stunt this morning? On the off chance that someone did, how was it?
