William Petersen, Joe Mantegna, John Malkovich, Harrison Ford, Dennis Farina and Michael Madsen would be my six-pack.

If it could include people who had lived in Chicago for some time, but weren't originally from the area, I would include Tina Fey, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss, Steve Carrell, Zach Champagne and Stephen Colbert.

But for home bread actors I would go with John C. Reilly, Harrison Ford, Mr. T., Nadine Velasquez and Michael Gross.

I don't know if the great Will Ferrell ever came through here. He's a SoCal guy.

I was thinking he was a St. Louis guy?

He was born in East St. Louis, then raised on the South Si-eeeeeeeeeeeeede.

In a comedy doc on Ch. 11, they said he was known as Chicago Red, while his friend Malcom Little (aka Malcom X) was New York Red.
